On The Human Side of Cannabis Festivals

On The Human Side of Cannabis Festivals By Ernst Berg aka Jack The Grower

When one stands back to see an event unfold as I did this weekend of April 17th and April 18th such as the International Cannabis & Hemp Expo that took place in Daly City at the Cow Palace they have to do so in two different States of mind.
One State is the exploration of a place such as the Cow Palace and it's wonderful and well trained Staff who obviously cooperated to engineer the venue to function on a brilliant security level while providing access to those who desired it in a friendly and controlled manner to the different levels of access defined.
The Other State I think of is the one of abandon and freedom where one abandons fear and embraces Cannabis freedom in a safe venue with total strangers for the most part.
This fine line between the commercial freedom and the personal freedom are the two States in my opinion.

When I visited Amsterdam last year I experienced the freedom but not the spirit of Gifting I experienced at the Cow Palace and that makes America's event ( my second ever ) the clear winner so far.

How did you see the Cow Palace event? I am interested in the Human side rather than the Business News side.

to me it just looked like a place for vendors to sell tshirts and pipes and vend their wares. You had to bring your own bud. none for sale there. You were allowed to smoke but only after you waited in a hugh line to get to the outside prop 215 area where it was windy as hell and no place to sit down. I thought it was shitty. The people I meet there were cool but we could have had more fun just all going to a bbq or something. The expo didnt make anything special.

Hey your point of view is precious in this thread.

Myself , just to share a point of view, this was after my first ever Cannabis event; Amsterdam, this was really cool to just move from street level to smoke freedom and back as need be.

Your point of view is noted! Any others?

Yes i have a point of view on this event..

I'm pretty much with what Darthvapor said.. I was almost disguisted with huch much everyone(vendors) are just trying to cash in on what looks to be the commercialization of cannabis..No one really care or knows anything about the plant it's self.. They all just had $$ signs in there eyes. Its all getting a lil too wierd imo. And that has to do with money.

Fuck the money!! It's all about the HERB!
