Mexicangreen420's 165w PL-L Cab of DOOM
The next attempt: This fall i was in amsterdam, and happened to get a seed from a Trainwreck bud. Sent it home to a friend, along with some other beans and goodies from holland and instructed him not to grow it, that was mine!!! He did not listen, grew it and luckily, by the time i got back, he had clones for me, this is their story. i dont know if this strain is 100% TW from ghs, as it was found in a bud and not purchased, but i am treating it as it is, floppy stems and all.
Strain: 3 GHS, Trainwreck Clones, 2- 2 week olds. 1, super-topped and bent-3 week old. Nutrients: BioBizz: Biogro, BioBloom, ToppMaxx, BioHeaven, Cal-Mag Plus and Dark Energy. Soil: Fox Farms Ocean's Forest, Light Warrior, 40/60 mix. Laminated Pine Cabinet, self-built. 30"Wx18"Dx36"H 3.5 square feet footprint. 3 x 55w PL-L Fluorescent Lights, 1-3000k 1-3500k... 1-4100k, which will be changed after stretch to 1-3000k. 165w total power Hood for light= 26"x14" expected yield- 90 grams or 3 1/4 ounces. Week One- February 25th, 2010 Cabinet @ 75-79 F @ Daytime and 69-75@ Nighttime Humidity @ 20-40% Lights on for 22 hours off for 2 hours. Increasing Dark Hours by .5 hours / every light cycle Expected 12/12 initialization.... by March 18th, 2010. Estimated harvest.... May 29th, 2010. Week Two- March 8th, 2010 Cabinet @ 78-81 F... "plexiglass taken off of hood" @ Daytime and 68-73 @ Nighttime Humidity @ 30-40% Lights on for 18.5 off for 5.5 one more day until 18/6 12/12 initialization @ March 16th-18th, 2010 Estimated Harvest, May 27-29th, 2010. Week Three- March 14th, 2010 Cabinet @ 74-78 F @ daytime and 64-68 F @ nighttime Humidity @40% Lights Changed this morning to 12/12, plants showed extreme vigor and was fearful of severe stretch.... update, i was right.... Lights on from 7pm-7am Harvest Date @ May 17th-20th Week Four- March 21st, 2010 Cabinet @ 75-80 F @ daytime and 70-75 @ nighttime Humidity @ 35-40% 7 days into 12/12 @ 56 days until harvest @ May 16th-20th Nutrients given every watering, with a one liter bottle of medium nute solution, followed by a bottle of straight h20 to wash it down. Week Five- March 28th, 2010 Cabinet @ 75-79 F and 69-74 Humidity @ 30-45% 15 days into 12/12 @ 50 days until harvest @ May 18th Nutrients given as before. White hair production started at tops, and sides. Still stretching. Fan leaves, mature, immature and lowers trimmed to 1/2 size. removed a few whole leaves. Super cropping and zip-tying main buds down to grid. Week Six- April 4th, 2010 Cabinet @ 75-82 F and 69-74 Humidity @ 30-45% 22 days into 12/12 @ 35-44 days until harvest Plain Water given with BioHeaven, TopMax, and Dark energy. Stretch has slowed/stopped. Excellent production to date. Trimming leaves in @ 2 days, to increase light penetration. Resin production has begun as well. Week Seven- April 11th, 2010 Cabinet @ 75-80 F and 60-72 F Humidity @ 30-45% 29 days into 12/12 @ 28-37 days until harvest RO water given for 2 successive days, until leaves showed yellowing, then fed successively with heavy nutrient concentration for next 5 days. Flowers growing and filling out horizontally. Resins have doubled this week alone. Tips starting to show slightest burn, sweet spot found. Nutrient concentration will be monitored and maintained at optimum levels for the next 3 weeks. Week Eight- April 18th, 2010 Cabinet @ 74-78 F and 58-72 F @ night Humidity @ 35-45% 36 days into 12/12 @ 21-30 days until harvest Plants adding buds to the ends of other buds, and resins onto several fan leaves. Drinking @ 1/2 gallon h20 daily. one liter of heavy nutes, the max biobizz recommends on their bottles is 5ml/liter of each of their nutes. followed by another of RO with an advanced dosage of cal-mag plus added. soon the fun part... The humble beginning: now, 36 days into 12/12 with 3-4 weeks to go a few things i have learned, is there is no need for plexiglass between the light and plants, they can get within an inch, without problems, but go that extra 1/2 inch, butter em cause they're toast. TW can take some nutrients, i have never fed another plant this much. Overall i am impressed so far with GHS Trainwreck. But my next grows strain will be decided by a poll, in 2 weeks. i have quite the selection of beans thanks to seedboo/bay. |

they are so dank right now, but they don't really have a nice smell, kind of a poopy piney lemony. weird, never smelled anything like it before, she'll be putting more stench out soon i'm sure. |

thanks!! i spent roughly $300 to get this thing off the ground. we'll see soon if it gets me lifted. been growing for about 9 years. stopped to go to europe and chill out in amsterdam for a couple months. planned on a fresh start, this is it. next build will be a cfl bonzai mother/clone/veg cab. planning on putting my bank of lights in vertically and utilizing both sides of the PL-L bulbs and doing 2 vert/scrogged plants on either side, should double my yeild, plus i wil be able to harvest one every 3-4 weeks or run a haze on one side, while i run a bogglegum clone twice on the other. i love growing. can't wait to get a house with a basement that's taller than 3'.
