I went to check on the ladies tonight and I noticed some roots starting to poke through the bottom of the starter pots. I repotted in the 2.5 gal, as I was doing so I noticed the roots starting to take the shape of the pot on the bottom. Is this going to be a problem? I would have taken a pic but this is my first transplant and needless to say I think it could have went better.

No problem. I let mine do this on purpose. It makes a larger root ball.

Thats fine. Transplant when you see roots coming to the bottom pot holes for a good strong root mass. Here is a few pics of mine ready and being transplanted.

tube dude Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 300	No problem. I let mine do this on purpose. It makes a larger root ball.
