No more borg. Should I trim the damaged leaves?
I beat back some spider mites with some Safer Soap, but not until they managed to damaged a few fan leaves. I'm 2wks into veg. Should I trim the damaged leaves or is it ok to leave them? The damaged leaves are probably 1/3 bleached from the consumed chlorophyll.
I've read that the girl stores energy and sugars in the fan leaves, but I've also learned from growing vegetables in the past that sometimes, a plant might spend more energy trying to recover from damage, than if you were to just trim it. Thanks for any help! Last edited by day-o; 04-16-2010 at 01:22 AM.. Reason: Adding a pic for reference |

If they're more than 50% mottled, get rid of em'.
