Risk of being detected by IR in Belfast?
Guys and Gals;
I've just come back to Belfast after 16 years in England. About 10 years ago I did some growing (Jack Flash, Northern Lights, Skunk, WL Bubblegum, White Widow). Anyway I'm now gearing up for some more growing (Actual Seeds c99 and Jack Flash). I've got the seeds and plan to start in the autumn (I've got friends from England coming over late summer so I can't start until they've been). Anyway last night Belfast was in chaos due to multiple bomb scares. As usual in this situation there were a few security force helicopters hovering over various parts of belfast. My question is this: do they have Infra Red (IR) cameras? I'd hate to get caught out as the result of this situation happening again. Cheers Dr. LD

i wish i could say the police had better things to do, but look at uk bust news, theres a fair few busts from ir cameras and by the sound of it your sitting in a hotspot with more than your fair share of choppers overhead.
how many lights and wheres the grow eg attic, back room? |

I'm going to use a 600w lamp in a growtent which will be in a bedroom and vented up a chimney.

600w is NOTHING to worry about... I had to move my grow because of bombs/shootings/ and bomb scares, I'd say they have FLIR cameras attached, alot of military/police/'civilian' choppers have been spotted leaving aldergrove RAF base with camera equipment attached. There have also been alot of spotter planes flying around, I was told from a friend in North Belfast that the spotter plane was out the other day after the IRA bombed MI5 headquarters. But again 600w is nothing to worry about.

do you have a basement?, the more walls between the tent and sky is better, bad insulation will hurt you too.
