Water Hash
Should the trim/buds that I am going to use for water hash be dried before I put them in the freezer, or can I just cut them down then put em straight into the freezer?? Thanks

HMMM so do you gain anything from freezing the trim?
The reason I ask is because whenever Ive made ice hash Ive always just used dry, unfrozen trim. I simply put my trim in paper bags and it stays there off in the corner of my growroom till Im ready to make some hash. I just take a handfull of trim, some ice, and some ice water, throw it all in a blender, blend conservatively for a couple minutes and filter. Im going to try freezing some trim to see if my yields increase. Hope it works

Yes the idea behind freezing is to make the trichomes brittle so they will break off and seperate from the vegetable matter ... My opinion is yes it helps to freeze the trim. My preference is fresh frozen

I have tried fresh frozen, fresh, dried frozen & dried - No difference. The trick is amount of ice used and how long it stays in the ice water.... Simply my personal observation. I do know that bubbleman suggests freezing prior to using.
The consistancy of the end result is directly proportiional to the grade of material used. |

I have the same problem F1, not that its really a problem but my hash always comes out pretty much as kif too. I don't mind, makes for good bowl toppings, not so good for smoking straight however. gunns I think your on to something here Quote:

well Im thinking its just the screen Im using now. Last night I made some hash. I used frozen trim, let the trim chill in the icewater for 10-15 minutes, and nothing really changed to be honest. My yield was damn near identical to when I use dry trim and don't let the trim sit in the icewater before blending.
I can't complain, its nice and blonde, I just want more, MORE....MORE!!!
