Lawyer Recommendation
I was wondering if any of you folks could recommend a good Colorado lawyer. I'm wanting one that specializes in the medical marijuana issues and is well versed on all the hoops set in law. Any help would be appreciated. I'm going to be around the Denver/Boulder/Breckenridge area for about a week.
I'd really prefer to be able to sit down and have a lengthy discussion with a professional before I move out west. Thanks for your help.

Well does anyone have an opinion on Jeff Gard or Brian Vicente? Anyone know anything about their reputations? Thanks.

Both good lawyers, just make sure you get a lawyer not a litigator.. sorting shit out in court.

There are three well know MMJ lawyers, Robert Corry, Warren Edson and Brian Vincente. All are good, one, Rob, seems to go to court a lot, which in my mind is not the Goal, more like a Failure. Warren seems like a nice guy, he posts on here sometimes. Brian seems very approachable and mosly works for Safer, which I believe is a patients advocate group?
There are some lesser known ones, Jeff Gard is one, Lauren something is another, they are proabably fine, too. Then, and I know this from experience, there is a BUNCH OF FREAKING POSERS, who are indeed lawyers, and claim they specialize in MMJ, but in reality they are just jumping on the bandwagon like everyone else, and know little or anything about MMJ laws, or policy. They will still represent you, but you will be doing your own research and pretty quick you'll realize you know more than your lawyer! Not what you pay $250 or more an hour for!!!!!!! I met a guy at the Cannabis Convention who insisited Denver has a moratorium on Dispensaries, when in fact they don't. I asked him if he was sure and then he stammered and said well, he thought that was in City Council Bill 34... he was full of shit! So, be sure to vet the one you hire, ask them where they learned what they say they know. |

Warren is good people for sure. Very intelligent and well spoken. Rob will make you feel stupid he makes his points so well. Both are all-stars in this biz
