I'm new too, but you can start out by not feeding seedlings at all. One week old? No food, just water.
When the little round seed leaves turn yellow is when you should think about feeding.
Mine took three weeks to grow that far.

Everything they need for a few weeks is in those seed leaves.

Dude. Stop with stupid soil bullshit. Why do you think plants grow 33% faster in hydro? Its a better way to grow plants. Soil creates a bunch of bullshit variables. In hydro you are in control of everything. Want to know how to not over feed? GROW HYDROPONICALLY. Provide you seedlings with all the nutrients they need, and nothing more. Get some Dyna Gro. Grow, Bloom, Pro-TeKt, KLN and Mag-Pro. You need a nutrient formula that has all 16 essential nutrients. Grow and Bloom both have them in one part. Just use Grow for veg and Bloom for flowering. Sprout the seedlings in rockwool. After about 3 days after they sprout, give them a soaking with some Grow, KLN, and Pro-TeKt, 1/4tsp per gallon of each. Then transplant them into your hydro system after roots develop and youre good to go. Stop messing with soil.

I can't offer too much specifics on the nutrients themselves, but you need to prepare your coco with a good amount of calcium and magnesium ahead of time to fulfill the cation exchange needs. Once the coco is prepared allow it to dry out pretty well. Now give it a really light nitrogen and potassium feeding to resaturate the coco and offer some nutrients for when the plant does need it.

Start the plants however you like and transfer into this mix. Do not saturate again until the coco has had a chance to dry out quite a bit. Up to 7 days. Since the plant isn't really grabbing up nutrients, adding more to the mixture could tip the balance and burn your plants. Overwatering isn't too much of an issue, but it also cannot be ignored before the root system has exploded. After ten days or so your plants are pretty much good to go. Start them on a 50% strength of whatever your full strength will be. Gradually decrease the time between feedings and increase the mix until it's once per day, or maybe once every 48 hours.

I got distraught early on with my coco grow. I ignored them for like 5 days and when I came back they'd exploded. I think just a good moistness with a really light nutrient base is all they need for those first 2 weeks. Watering too much during this time just slows things down a little and offers a chance of burning.
