When you have different strains can you safely flower then together??
I am growing mostly AK47, but my first grow I had a Plant that ended up Hermi and had a few seeds. I also cloned this plant as the smoke was primo. SO my real question: If I flower these together will my hermi clone cause my AK47 to develop seeds or hermi?? Will this ruin my AK47 Strain?? Your experience is helpful! Thank You! |

Btw, I'm currently growing Alaskan Ice (haze sativa pheno) along side Mazar-i-Sharif (land race indica) in hydro. They have very different nutritional requirements as well as flowering times. Yet they're happy together because I take special care to keep them that way. Your technique must be adjusted to suit your particular plants and growing environment. Quote:

keep an eye on the hermi....but other than that yeah you can flower multi strains just make sure feeds are correct for each strain

Why would there be a problem flowering multiple strains which are female? There won't be any pollen produced so no seeds can be formed from female to female environmental contact. The hermie, I guess some people save them, theoretically could be in the same environment without making seeds by watching for male flowers and eliminating them.

I don't recommend it, but I've done it a few times w/ good results, there's only 2 things to watch for. Different strains have different stretch/growth characteristics(may need to pinch/top/prune tall ones back), and other one that may be hard to adjust for if u r doing a hydro table like me is the nute preferences of the different strains. My first hydro grow had like 4 strains in it, some of them were happy as could be and others showed some deficiency, u have to just find a good middle ground for all of them, can't exclude the red headed step child! there always is a runt in the pack, but I <3 em all!

problems that may arise are finishing times off, toxic or deficient nute solutions, uneven lighting for bigger vs smaller plants. try your best to stick to 1 in hydro culture. if not, just be prepared for extra babysitting, d

there is no damage the plants will do to each other if that's what you are asking.
You might not water and feed them all ideally. If one hermies they all won't, but the pollen will reach every girl in the room, so you'll end up with seed everywhere, won't really ruin the quality of smoke, just be picking out seed
