Aye ppl!
Check this out, is this normal? The small up&coming leafs have a really pretty brown/red color to em. At first i thought it was coz of nute problems, but no, that was not the case. Tried less nutes, then more nutes, but nothing changed. And the red color seems to dissapear as the leafs grow larger.. Here's her basic green partner In case u'r wondering about that 4 finger leaf, i messed it up Well, so far i gotta say i'm really diggin' this grow. The plants are pretty, specially the reddish one. And they gave me no trouble what so ever. I'll be turning this in to a real thread once the blooming start. Read my lips: No new vegetative stage pictures! *Edit* The strain is Blueberry Sativa [fem] Last edited by BadTicket; 10-20-2005 at 02:56 PM.. |

i have heard of the reddish color in stems tend to disappear as the plant gets older and older and the stems add more layers of growth....my guess is it has to do with how thin the tissue is.....once it puts on more layers it looks greener and greener....those plants look very nice overall- that strain is killer! let us know when the colors change or you have anything else to share....

Thanks for dropping by guineapig.
I mmight have been too harsh on my comment about the veg pictures.. Seeing as those are pretty crapy ones.. I will take some more better ones once i have the stamina to move them outta the growroom

Spoke too soon on that no problems with the grow thing too..
Not really a problem, but atleast one of em is a male! And i'm pretty sure i'm not to blame. Feminized seeds, i know whut yer thinking.. But it aint a hermie, it's a male. Most likely i got the wrong seeds..

hey bro, I know ya said that ya fed the plant, but I had a plant in a population that I had called a rhubarb plant, cause it had the lighter color leaf and the red in the stalk and stem while veggin. i even fed it more than the others. it needed quite a bit more than the others come to find out. durin flower it was the first to lose its bottom fans, not a nuff nitro in veg.
anyway with blueberry anything can happen with those genes. be interestin to see how she fares durin flower, as far as keepin her fans. CBF |

Well well well.
This one deserves a update I still do believe i got the wrong seeds and was pissed at first, but i gotta give credit where credit is due. Team REEFERMAN came thru and sent me a pack of their finest seeds, so i figured i'd continue this report too. Well it's been a while since the last update and i'm at 36 days of flower. Cut the veg time a lil short because of the males that were popping out.. People tell me not to wprry about the curly leaves, they say this is genetic with bluberry? I been growing mostly indicas. So this was all new to me ![]() She's starting to put on some color too, up to this point she was mostly white and green but as you can see there's some blue and purples there Couple more overall pics to give u a better idea to whut i'm working with here. Well i quess thats all for now. Big ups to reeferman and luci @ reeferman seeds. Anyone has thoughts on the curly leaf thing, i'd love to hear a professional take on it

It's a ph thing. Low ph usually will cause this along with high fertilizer ppm. Check the runoff water.

There are some strains which have the curling leaf thing going on... they're known for it, and it doesn't mean anything is wrong.
But then sometimes the curling is a symptom of something being wrong, too. Checking runoff like gronn said is a good idea. If the runoff is OK then probably you're just dealing with one of those strains that's got the genetic thing. One other thing that can cause curling is too much Co2, but that would only happen if you're actually supplementing with Co2 & it's set too high. Your plants look very nice... good job! take care, db Last edited by DankBank; 11-25-2005 at 11:08 AM.. |
