A question of yield?

I am a Canadian MMAR federal exemptee who is allowed to possess & grow .I am currently allowed 15 plants & will soon be registered for 5 grams a day & can grow 25 plants to cover my needs. I have been growing outdoors since 1987 & haven’t missed a season with either a few plants in my garden for breeding & personal smoke or doing a guerilla style grow. In my last years I was quite successful growing OD & it was not easy to do with a job of 40 hrs a week or more to contend with. Well life has a way of throwing some of us a little of track, i lost my job(they sold the company) & the cops got my patches, all 3 of them, each patch having 200 or more 10gallon bags with 4 plants in each, although they did not get me. I sold my house & moved from the small community that I lived in for 20 years. Now I live in an area of the province that OD growing much more difficult given the shorter season. Shortly after moving I discovered I had health issues & was able to get a medical exemption. So after all those OD seasons now I can grow all year around indoors & I am loving it , I find it a little more challenging right now as I am new to indoor growing . My first indoor strain was Jorge Diamonds, it yielded well but was not at all impressed with the quality of the strain, 10 to 11 weeks to finish & not very strong smoke, I am currently trying MNS critical mass. I am awaiting my paper work from Health Canada that will allow me to have 25 plants, should be any day now, once I get my increase I will have 12 plants in my flower room 12 plants in my veg box & 1 Mother. I thought i would give you a little back ground on myself as i have noticed that you are fairly diligent on answering everybody’s questions or comments. I love the Cinderella 99 & have had some experience with it back in 2000.I am looking for a strain that will finish in 60 days or under & yield well. I can clone from my Mom , say 10 days to root, then my veg box will support the clones for aprox 6 weeks , so I can have plants that are 2 months old for the flowering room, which I hope will take 2 months to finish, im sure you get the picture. Both Sweetest Cindy 99 & Brain Freeze looks like they would fit the bill nicely, my question is which of the 2 strains would yield more ?. I am not looking for how many grams per, just which would yield more?

The question you ask is a bit subjective.....much depends on the grower and what he/she can provide, along with their skill level.

In 'ideal' conditions, it's a real close call on these two...both are good yielding varieties...I'd recommend letting what strikes your palate's fancy lead the way.
Both should finish...mid 50's...so is really a toss up (based on what you've posted).

What type of medicinal effect are you looking for...maybe I can help you a bit more.

Thank you for your interest!

Thanks for the reply & yes i am very interested in the your strains & the C99 lines. As i am only allowed to a small amout of plants , I am looking for a balanced high, sure i would like to grow 2 dirrent strains ,sativa/indica to give me the daytime/nighttime medicin. After using the ICmag search for LUI & Sweettooth#3 in the title ,i decided (with a intuitive nudge) to go with the Sweetest Cindy. the plan will be to grow the seedling outdoors in my garden this spring/summer, then after they show sex & before they start to flower I will clone them & start my indoor grow for the fall / winter, i may even bring the seediling from outside /indoors , by that time they will be in 7.5 gallon pots or 10 gallon bags .either way ,very big . should be fun, will keep you posted this later this year thanks again DG

Very good choice! I would mention, as a precaution (which you might already be thinking as well...so no disrespect)
if you are bringing plants inside from outside...you just might be bringing more things inside that you don't want to
have to deal with, esp indoors in the winter. Word....mites like C99....careful, and steady as she goes...as you may know,
you can not (or rather 'should not') spray for mites on flowering buds. There are some rather powerful miticides about
that say they can be used on 'edible'/'consumable' fruits/vegs but I'm not one who wishes to spray anything like that on
buds destined for my lungs. Mites and other pests can be treated for and eradicated in veg....not so much so in flw. In
years past, I've gone so far as to neem in flw, wearing rubber gloves (this stuff stinks!), and hand wash/apply to each
leaf (not the bud)...but it's a losing battle in a larger room really, just holds them at bay a bit till harvest if they surface
late in flw...if it's early in flw...good luck!

If growing in a geographical area which is a med area where there are perhaps MANY other growers, I believe that mites
can become immune to the products used in that area, and are a bit more difficult to eradicate and keep in check.

Thanks!

Yes I would agree with you whole heartedly about bringing in unwanted pests & will be extra carefull by checking any plants that are introduced to my room & may even spray with a natural type of miticide beforehand,if i do have my plants OD it will be in the spring thru to mid summer , cloning & moving(depending?)them inside just before they go into flower.
working outdoors in the past i really havent had to put up with to many mite problems

I ordered the Sweetest Cindy yesterday (Good Friday)

Sounds like you are on the right track! And good growing to you with the Sweetest Cindy 99's. I believe you will be most
pleased.
