is it legal to shoot your dog?
If you have a dog that is on the brink of death but you don't have the money to go to a vet an euthanize, can you take it into the woods and shoot it? Is that legal?

no that is ilegal you have wait it out or go to vet but with that said my neibor did it and no one called the cops and he did not go nowere just in the yard

Humanely putting animals down is most certainly legal and is done daily on farms across the globe.Why the fuck would I have to wait for a vet to put my own suffering animal down wether its a dog a cat or a cow?

Yup, unless you live in a very weird area legally speaking. Main caveats is it has to be legal to DISCHARGE the firearm in the area you are and it should be a very clean one shot sort of operation. You f*ck up putting down an animal then yes, you have just committed a crime in many areas, regardless of your intent. At least locally our vets are pretty reasonable about sliding scales and will often wave charges altogether if there's financial necessity.

never shot my own dog, certainly beats watching them piss all over themselves, with doggy dementia and sore joints imo.....sad but its life for us all...
even if the outcome involves blood! at least its all over in an instant... just wish i could have someone blow my head off when im senile and in pain,,,, gotta become a criminal to end your own life as well...
