Most efficient and dense fertilizer for shipping far away
Hello all
I want to grow hydroponically again. I prefer to set up a DWC system. I know how to do this. My concern is about choosing the most efficient and dense hydropnic fertilizer. I live in a country without hydroponic store. If I want to buy hydro nutrient I will order from the UK. But as you know liquid fertilizers can be quite heavy to ship(im not in europe) So what is the best fertilizer based on density? Also i dont want to have to buy many additives(a few are ok). Just run a simple grow-bloom-micro formulation. I had a lot of luck with pureblend before although i used liquid karma and cal-mag as supplements. I have about 2.2 sq meters of flowering space with 2 1000w hps lights. And i have 1 400w MH for veg and mother area. thanks for you input and time |

FOX FARM - CHA CHING
my 2 cents, I have mostly sativa strains and they only need 1/4 to 1/2 the rec dose, this stuff has micro nutes in it and it can be used in hydro, soil, whateva... id give it a shot. Goodluck

Since you are in the organic hydro section I am assuming you want something organic. Go with Iguana Juice. All you need is the grow and bloom. Nothing else. No ph adjustments as long as your water is ph balanced and no silly additives needed. Seriously it's all you need in one. Their new formula is very concentrated (3.5ml per liter) compared to most organic liquid nutrient solutions. Doesn't smell too bad and the results speak for themselves. Fairly expensive but if you take it's concentration into consideration it's not that expensive really. I haven't ph adjusted or used a meter in 2 years.

I agree that its stupid to ship bottles of mostly-water.
I've been using the dry organic fertilizer from Botanicare/Organicare called Pure. there is a grow and bloom one, and its mostly made for organic soil growers. it seems like some sort of prilled poop-juice, and is quite cost-effective (and smelly). bubbling for several days will make it into an excellent hydro solution. its not quite complete though, and I still have some dialing to do. Mg is needed for sure. it might have everything else. you might find more strict import-regulations around dry organic fertilizers. I know some countries don't like microbes crossing borders. |

I second the General Hydroponics Maxi series, They aren't organic but it's everything you need in one box. I've seen many people use just the bloom for entire grow cycles.
I'll also second the Fox farms cha ching, I would only use it as a bud booster thought. |

I'm curious as the medium you've used these formulas in, as that could make a real difference in their effectiveness. Blanket statements worry me! Hehe. But, really, it's just that I'd love to find something purely organic to feed in coco, but without sacrificing too much yield. Hmm. |

Can't believe no one else has suggested this....
Get GH Floranova Bloom by the gallon. Around $65 shipped if you look hard enough. 8ml/gal and you need ZERO additives and you will get as good as/better results than people shelling out $400 for full connoisseur lines. |
