iPhone 4G will go into production as early as April

Availability expected sometime in June or July.

I will have this the day it's out. I gotta say my Iphone 3g is seeming a lil slow/old lately.

I am tired of all these up coming wanna be iphones doing 90% what an iphone does..

But still it's just not an Iphone.. Few of my friends have droids, they freeze and are slow. Also the programs are not as good as the same program for an iphone. if your using the web on a verizon phone you cant receive a call... you can do both at the same time on a iphone with at&t. I would like to see the new iphone on Verizon but it will still have that drawback over at&t, unless they change something just for the iphone.

The gps system on an iphone is just way better. I can type in one word and bam it pulls up that location near me, I do the same thing with a droid and it offers 300 results to choose from...

I'll have to wait til Dec when my 2 year contract is up....I don't really like buying things when they have just recently come out.

I was hoping to go back on Verizon, hopefully this thing will be on other networks. I have a 3g right now and it constantly says call failed or just drops completely. I guess they just never got it together with making the iphone software work with their network. It seems so buggy when you get into calls and stuff.

I actually used the thing tethered and was able to play Modern Warfare 2 online on Ps3 with little issues. I even got it to pull 200kb at one point. It's just the consistency where they completey fail. I've heard the customer service is horrifying too.

^^ I had that problem, too. I went to an Apple Store and the problem was fixed. They gave me a new iPhone. Now no calls dropped unless I'm in certain buildings with lots of interference.

Hippe Lettuce: About the contract, I am in the same boat man, Dec is my contract.

But the "Independent" cell stores will help you cheat to get your new iphone earlier. I have seen them do it with verizon and at&t.

Both those companies allow you to upgrade 3-4 month before your contract it up. If you need further than that these retailers will give you the phone and hold the order until it can be processed. they do this so they can lock in the sale at there location..

Also I remember at&t doing something special to help the iphone users upgrade to the 3g version..

If all else fails I am buying it and when my contract is up I will get the iphone and sell it on the ebay to cover 95% of the phone cost.

I should try that, thanks dude. The phone itself is really nice imo. I've dropped the thing a couple of times on the pavement and it didn't flinch.

I think it's time to gen an Iphone. This looks much better than 3g.
I wonder how much the battery will last, though..
