Trichome color
Does anyone know if trikes come in other colors than the stated clear/cloudy/amber after looking at them with a 30x loup and a pocket microscope that is 60/80/100 mine seem to have purple heads on the ends of the trike stalk I cant seem to get a closer macro shot to show it more clearly I have never seen this before anyone seen this before?

Yeah, they can be purple or red sometimes. I've only seen pictures of the stalks being colored like that though, not the actual heads.

I have some Sour Bubble bx3, 47 day's into flower (nearly done based on the 7-8 week recommendation) and I'm beginning to see that many of the stalks have a purple/amber streak running through it with a slightly cloudy head.
My question, quite similar to Dr. Buds, is the purple/amber stalk indicative of level of maturity or should I base that entirely on the trich head color and not the stalk color? |

You really should be looking at the glandular part of the trichome...the head. The stalks contain little THC...even if pretty colored. That is why if a bud has been skuffed or handled roughly...the head are gone...the high is greatly diminished.
I have had plant that produce a dark purple / red stalks, but still not had a true purple head. There is SOMEWHERE on ICm a picture of some truly funky purple hash. dank.Frank
