Hi Dutch,

I first had to say thanks for the free seeds ( pet contest ) . the dieselrella sounds so good.. so thank you. I nicknamed them after my dog, so me and my brother get a real kick everything we say them.

I had a couple questions on the c99 f-2's

-did you guys find any genius pheno when growing out the seed?
-any chance of genius pheno you think in these seeds?
-is this to be stocked for a while or limited release?


thanks for any info Dutch. I have a collection of C99 starting and these sound like the c99 that should have been released a long time ago..

thanks for any info Dutch. I have a collection of C99 starting and these sound like the c99 that should have been released a long time ago..

1. C99 is (theoretically) a cubed 'Princess' which is a sister to Genius.
2. I suppose it is possible, but not too likely IMO, given that Princess was chosen (f), rather than Genius f, for Mr Soul's cubing for what ultimately we know as Cinderella99. From reading Mr Soul's description of C99 below, it is possible a 'Genius' male was used in the line (crossed with Shiva Skunk) to create a male during the cubing process....although the male used was never disclosed by Mr Soul....and if it was a Genius male pheno it was very early on in his cubing work...thus 'recessively possible'....but not highly probable due to the cubing process he did with Princess. In 1997, I discovered a few seeds in a bud of Jack Herer I bought @ "Sensi Smile" coffeeshop in Amsterdam while there to buy seeds. I didn't expect much when I grew them, but one of those seeds from the JH bud produced a very special female that I call "Princess".

Therefore Princess' mother was a Jack Herer (IF we can believe what Sensi Smile printed on the package) and her father is a totally unidentified mystery plant.

I also got 2 more females (Genius & Cafe'Girl) & several males from those seeds. I used pollen from one of the males on a heavy-yielding, dense, resinous ShivaSkunk (from Sensi Seedbank) female, then grew the resulting seeds to get males to produce pollen to cross Princess with, beginning the cubing process.

The first generation of seeds from Princess were called P.50 because they were 50% Princess. I used males from the P.50 generation to back-cross to Princess to get P.75 and again back-crossed with the P.75 pollen to get P.88 and again with the P.88 pollen to get P.94 which is "Cinderella 99", a cubed version of Princess.

The name "Cinderella" was chosen because of the parallels between this story and the well-known fairy tale in which Cinderella becomes a Princess despite her humble beginning. It's also VERY similar to the story of the "Morgan Horse"...go Figure!
The true-breeding reliability is something that takes a while to prove itself, but the F2 generation of C99 is very much the same as C99 in my experience. I feel, but can't say for certain, that subsequent generations will continue to produce plants with the essential "traits package" of the original C99. That's the theory of cubing.


habeeb, IF we can assume that one of the males used (see red bolded above) was a 'Genius' type male....(because Mr Soul does not disclose the male pheno used as being a Princess, Cafe Girl, Genius, or JH pheno) then there could always be that needle in the haystack to show up, perhaps, but C99 is a cubed 'Princess' (sister to Genius) with pollen originally created by a 'brother' to those crossed with Shiva Skunk to 'begin' the cubing process.

Of the three options Mr Soul had (Princess, Genius, and Cafe Girl) he selected Princess....to that I'll add....he chose wisely. Other than Genius being what some might like to call 'elite'...I was not as impressed with Genius as I am his cubed Princess a/k/a Cinderella99.

C99 for Gypsy's collection was in good supply....when I supplied it in December 09, so I have no idea how much is left....you can always check with Gypsy....of course I retain my C99 P1 stock and perhaps will re-release again in the future, but it's not up in the next project rotation at this time.
