tiny bugs over the soil
I saw, some kind of clear of white, bugs over the soil, How can I get rid of them?
I change the soil, and new pot and they still there. |

I think those are blind springtails.
They're fungal feeding bugs that are completely natural to the soil. If you're worried about them, you might want to get rid of the soil and find something else to use. But you might want to keep in mind that some of these springtails are actually beneficial to the growing process. They can release nutrients which will help your plants grow even better, helping to get rid of other bugs which might be even more harmful to your grow plans. So unless you've seen the bugs doing harm to your plants, then you should leave them in the soil. From that I can tell, it seems like things are going to be fine, maybe even better with these little bugs. Who would have thunk it? I haven't seen these before, but what I've been reading, it seems like this is the least of your worries. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I just started to grow March 7th in my basement and I've never seen a bug down there. I keep my basement clean and I think with my T5 on 24hrs a day inside my little grow room, it's attracted a bug(s).
I saw something that looked like a little fruit fly around my plants. I swatted it and then saw another one a few days later. Should I consider maybe a fly paper or something to have the little buggers attach themself too? I even saw a little brown spot on the edge of my leaf and I thought it might be a bug chewing?? Any ideas? |

daddyllac: springtails...get some sevin-5 powder from home depot ($5) and mix in your water at the rate of about a teaspoon per gallon...water everything at once...it'll kill em. Preferably in veg or early flower
h2osho: fungus gnats...mosquito dunks or gnatrol in your nutes and yellow sticky tape for the adults |

DO NOT KILL SPRINGTAILS. They break down organic matter into usable nutrients in your soil, keeping it fresh.
