My 1st run with 126w Penetrator LED grow light

I have been interested in how LEDs perform in a micro environment, so I'm testing a Hydro-Grow 126w Penetrator LED grow light in a micro cab that I have. The unit was hung in the cab and sat there until I finally got some rooted clones going. This test will be done to compare results against strains I have grown under cfl in my other micro cabs.

My micro cab is 22" deep x 17" wide x 22" tall (from floor to bottom of LED unit).

The plants will be grown in soil in Goldfish boxes that I've used before in my 1sq ft cfl cab.

I'll start by vegging 6 clones (3 strains) for a week, during which time I will be lst'ing, super-cropping, etc to create a wider canopy.

The vegging will take place under 24/0 light. After a week, the lights will be changed to 12/12 so that flowering can commence.

Here's a picture of the clones that will be run

*EDIT* Sour Creek was replaced with a third PBSD4 *EDIT*

STRAINS (# of clones); Catpiss (2), Chesaw (1), PBSD4 (3)

Due to the limit on number of images per post, I will update this first post with a weekly compilation image and will continue the introduction in the next post.

I started by supercropping some of the clones. I got a bit over zealous with the PBSD4B and pinched the top right off.

I used some tie down and some stem crushing for their first training.

Here's a picture of the plants right after doing this training.

Right after taking the above picture, I got the dumb idea to try to super crop the sour creek and I ended up breaking it lol, so I pulled it and replaced it with a third PBSD4 (ie PBSD4C)

I was curious to see how the plants responded to this training.

Hi blynx!

I am looking forward to your grow. Good job on the DIY hang of the LED. I think I can use that in the future.

cheers.

I'm probably going to do some more training while they do their initial flowering stretch.

I haven't decided whether to include super-cropping, or just tie downs.
