Trying to grow as an horticulturist (pun intended)

So I've been growing for some time... and doing okay.... but i want to maximize my potential... I've been busy the last few years so I haven't been researching...

I am going to get new strains (I have afgan amongst other).... and practice SCOG....

But I haven't learned that much with fertilizers.

Currently I have a "blazeoneup" DWC ( https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=26343 ).... I use MAXIGROW and MAXIBLOOM... while MAXIGROW is great I found that MAXIBLOOM makes the plants deficient in a few things.... so now I use cal-mag with MAXIBLOOM.... and it is a lot better... I think it stabilizes the pH as well

Blazeoneup recommends:
Indica's
Seedlings and clones 300-400ppm 5.3-5.5 ph
early vegg 500-600ppm 5.3-5.6 ph
middle vegg 600-800ppm 5.4-5.6 ph
late vegg 800-1000ppm 5.5-5.7 ph
early flower 1000-1300ppm 5.5-5.7 ph
middle flower 1400-1600ppm 5.5-5.8 ph
late flower 1000-1100ppm 5.5-5.7 ph
ripening 300-500ppm 5.4-5.6 ph

and I've been trying to keep it like that...
I use a 1000 W MH and HPS... however my buds aren't that fat/heavy... in fact kind of fluffy....

I used bushmaster before and it helped... because I have low ceilings... it helped me stop vertical growth... buds were a little heavier... but last grow I ran out didn't have any extra... i know.. i know... a lot of u are probably against it... well... it was okay for me... cause it helped stop vertical growth and made heavier buds... but it was expensive... and I have a big reservoir.... so instead of buying more bushmaster... maybe u guys can suggest a better way =) ... so i can grow as a horticulturist..... learn more about nutrients and fertilizers

Is what I am doing good?
Can I improve? If so, how?
I use maxibloom and maxigrow because it's okay and CHEAP.. i buy like the 20lb I think.. and it is powder so u get your moneys worth I think....

How about kelp? I read and heard about it... which one to get? Should I get?

Any other things you recommend? Remember I have a big res. and I don't want to try experimental things.. I want things that WORK...
but any suggestions are welcomed....

+1 Karma to u all

dont get caught up in the fertilizer game unless you got lots of money. learning a certain strains growth and needs will give you better results.then look for nutes

You have a perfectly good fertilizer already, Maxibloom.
I use Maxibloom the entire time, veg and flower.
For veggers I use 3/4 tsp/gal Maxibloom and 1/4 tsp/gal floralicious plus, for flower I up it to 1 tsp/gal Maxibloom and i drop the Floralicious plus two weeks in.
I use tap (300 ppm) and never have a need for cal/mag.
Imo, you don't really need the Floralicious plus, Maxibloom all by itself will do it.
Oh, I use coco.

Well i know my strain well... I have been growing a few of them for years.... but my nutrient routine hasn't changed..... Took me a while to figure out to use Cal-Mag... and silicone to strengthen stems to hold the bud up (pro-tekit)... I believe it also it also increases resistance to pathogens and bugs ..... helped with those to I believe while using Neem oil....

PurpleMaxx..... ?? I'm good... so my routine was good.... just focus on SCROG?
