Witches Weed is Poppin' Fresh! - Dutchgrown Seeds - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

I threw these seeds in yesterday evening (it's afternoon here now) in Ph 7.0 water using the paper towel method and check it out...

That's nearly all of them popping. I can't believe it. I've never had seeds germ this quickly.

These ladies have a long trip ahead of them. I'll veg these, take cuttings, flower the cuttings, and likely keep the males in clone form until I want to make some babies. I reckin' these won't see a flower room for at least 2 more months!

In any case, glad to hear / see the vigor of Witches Weed coming through in spades. Way to go Dutch and Res!

So, that's about 18 hrs since hitting the towel?

Actually, it was closer to 16 hours

Mind me asking if you pre soaked ur beans in a shot glass or something before the paper towel??

Nope - straight into paper towel without any pre-soaking.

Hey...congratulations, funkervogt!! I look forward to following your grow!

You and I are almost in the same place. I popped six on March 17...as of today, all are up. (Most were sprouted as of Friday and a couple were sprouting by Thursday.) I dropped the seeds directly into moist Rapid Rooters...no pre-soak or papertowels. Not only did all six pop but all of them have roots sticking out of the bottoms of the plugs. These seeds are incredibly vital! Rarin' to go.

I'll be watching from the sidelines, i got a very quick germ on all of my DG seeds (3 different strains!)

Woke up this morning to find this:

Had to do some minor surgery to get them out of the paper towel and into Rapid Rooters sponges. Now under the humidity dome and the waiting begins...

Amazing what just a few extra hours causes....I've sure had my share of doing minor surgery as a result. That's the one and only drawback I've ever had to using paper towels...I just try and catch them early enough to not have to go through it.

Just a note, and your results may vary, but the WW for me was a very heavy cal-mag eater, just throwing that out there
