Caregiver Status?
Ok,
so I have been trying to get my hubby some of the 'right' meds for him. He is a bit gunshy about this and has not been as helpful as I had hoped he would be. Meaning that I have been talking to him about going to the clubs to get a few new things to try, but he isn't really into going just yet I guess. I know you can only lead the horse to water... so to speak... the question is how can I get him meds without a card if he is not willing or able to go to the clubs himself. In Oregon, from what I understand, a patient can list their caregiver and that person will get some kind of Id or something to get/transport/"buy" meds for that person. I was looking through the Medicann stuff that hubby was given when he got his scrip and didn't see anything like that. Does anyone have any wisdom or knowledge to share? |

you and your husband should call medicann and ask if they can sign you up as a caregiver. its basically just you and your husband going in there and him letting the doctor know that you are his primary caretaker in his life and they should issue you a card and letter that states your caregiver status. You then proceed to take that to a dispensary and they should be able to sign ypu up as a member and you will be able to purchase your husbands medicine
If medicann wont do that you should read the state laws regarding caregivers and then try a different doctor. Medicann is a giant company and sometimes they miss real patients needs. hope this helps.. good luck |
