150w HPS OK FOR TINY GROW TENT?

I have purchased a tiny grow tent that is roughly 16 inches square and 4 ft. tall. I am considering this grow light: 150w HPS mini GROW LIGHT 150 w watt sodium hydroponics - eBay (item 390090267787 end time Apr-02-10 07:48:03 PDT)
I believe this would fit the bill but it will only use an HPS bulb. I cannot apparently use a MH bulb for the veg stage. I believe this bulb will be good for all stages including vegatative. I plan to grow 2 WW's in the grow tent with this. In fact here is the tent:

What do you think? Thanks for looking.

The link to the tent shows a rectangle grow tent. If you can

afford it and have the space I would sell that and look for a

Secret Jardin Dark Room 60 1'11.5" x 1'11.5" x 4'7". Grab yourself

a MH/HPS combo and make the magic happen. There is an

excellent thread on grow tents and multiple setups.

Good luck bro!

The same reflector can be had for $30 less at HTG directly but, is a poor choice for a tent unless you remove the ballast and set it up remotely, outside the tent. Even a 150 ballast cranks out some heat and, connected to the reflector as is, prevents centering the lamp over the grow.

Hey guys thanks for the comments. Sirus the 2ft sq.,small as that is, is still too big. You have to remember that my first 2 grows were in a PC. So I am somewhat moving up I guess. I appreciate the link, thanks. Freezerboy, you bring up a good point about the ballast but I dont believe this one can be removed. I will do my best to try and center the light but there really isnt any room to do that. We'll just see. As it is the lamp will only take HPS so I cannot swap out for a MH for veg. I will have to use CFLs I guess. That will not be easy. Anyway thanks for the input. I never got this kind of good help at grasscity. Not dissin' just sayin'...

You can go cfl if you like but, many do entire grows with HPS. While matching plant stage to the proper spectrum is a good thing, it's not required.
