Witches in My Basement - Dutchgrown Seeds - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

The question: I am seriously considering starting some Witches Weed in the next week or two but there's a good chance that I'm going to be going away in mid to late July and I want to make sure whatever I start will be finished.

I know, I know...July seems SO far away but I figure that if I start vegging the plant soon, it'll be ready to flower at the end of April. (I'm also going away in mid-April and have some plants in flower that won't be done until 4/23 and I don't have any other flower space). So - figuring they start 12/12 on 4/23, that means they'll be about 74 days (or so) by 7/16/10.

Now, I realize that these have not been grown out by mortals at this point, so it's probably impossible to know which portions of which genetics will be dominant. I add that I have NO real feel for genetics or breeding but on top of that I'm not all that familiar with the different genetics making up this strain. I do see that the Witches Weed blurb suggests they'll be done around 60.

I'll be growing indoors under a 400wt HPS with 8 CFLs providing supplementary lighting.

So...the quick question for the panel (breeders, etc.) - does it seem relatively likely that these would be done under the above timeline? Or am I walking a thin line and should be looking for something that finishes quicker?

Go with a shorter veg period....if necessary....(due to timing)....they will still provide enough initial flw stretch to make up...but much depends on your skill level as a grower....as to how quickly you can get them into veg from initial seedling stage.

It's your call mate...although I don't see any reason (genetically) that these would not be finished in your time frame.

If you want to perhaps shave about 8-10 days off your calendar...then straight up C99f2s I made for Gypsy's GN Collection is a good alternative for faster flower. Another alternative is in my listings..... Sweetest Cindy99.

OK..Here's the new generation!! (Damn! Wish I could change the title of this thread...Oh well!)

I popped six Witches Weed seeds on March 17. All six were up and rooting by March 19. I'm growin' 'em Hempy style - I placed the Rapid Rooters into the 18oz Hempy cups soon thereafter and I think they are just beginning to get well established and kick into gear. It's hard to tell but they are all very green and look very ass-kickingly VITAL! Bring it on!!! Yeah, baby!!

Thanks for stopping by...happy to have you along for the ride. Hopefully it will be a smooth one.

This stage is kinda like...well...kinda like watching grass grow, eh? So, I'll not post pictures tonight. I started giving them a bit more nutes than the homeopathic amounts that they had been receiving for the previous two feedings. They look like they've grown everytime I take a loving look at them.
