If the tops of plants bend over from being covered by a bag, is it bad for the plant?
Well, I was SUPPOSED to be relocating my plants tonight but it fell through and now they won't be moved until tomorrow night. When I was getting them ready to go, I slipped large white garbage bags over the plants and fastened them tight around the pot. I ripped two holes near the top and tied the two corners of the bottom of the bag in a small knot. I sort of regret this because I am not sure if this is what caused the top leaves of the plant to bend over a complete 90 degrees. Were they wilting because of suffocation in the bags? Or could it have been from tying the bag too tight at the top which physically pulled the leaves down and bent them? And also, will the plants recover from this? Will this slow growth? I'll have to do this again tomorrow night with the bags to help disguise the plants while I am moving them. Ugh. They just began a 12/12 earlier this week, so I had to put them back in the dark for the rest of the night. :/
Any comments or suggestions are encouraged, thanks. |

Plants can be easily shaped...whether by tying down or by accident-- The will bounce back when released tho--
They should be fine--

Okay. That is good to hear. I swear I've been so psychotic over tending to my plants. I am just ready to get them into their new space where I won't have any worries what-so-ever! Only one more day, one more day. Phew!

Best to start over instead of moving a plant. When I was a beginner we moved some plants. There was some close calls but we didn't get pulled over. Looking back my plants were shitty as in terrible. If I'd gone to jail over that POS I'd be kicking myself.
It doesn't take too long to start over ever, and you can be guaranteed you won't get roped with 10 plants in ur back seat that way. |

I wouldn't worry about them bending over. Prolonged contact with plastic isn't a good thing. They need to breath. Overnight, I wouldn't worry about. Three or four days would not be good.

if you mean the tops of the plants were bent over then this can actually be a good thing, it allows the lower branches to catch up while the tops orks to evigour itsself, its not quite 'SUPERCROPPING' but its along them lines, read up on supercropping
peace
