late flower ppm count recommendations please.....

i've always mixed nutes by keeping track of tsp/tbsp per gl..... start light and increase....sort of instinctive guess work....i'm a long time backyard grower....

now i have a small perpetual indoors and keeping track of two gardens in different stages of life.....well it got confusing....

as of yesterday i started using a ppm meter.... only to realize, what i thought was a massive dose of nutes is 930 ppm....and in mid 5th. week i'm seeing signs of multiple deficiency's....i'm not stressing it cuz bud growth has obviously not slowed....

i hand water in coco...at the moment i'm feeding with EJ bloom, liquid karma, aqua shield, cal-mag+, in r/o....

i need some thoughts on nute strength.... in veg, early flower, late flower, seedling, clone....

does this thing read everything i put in that water...? i'm an old soil grower going coco.... any help is greatly appreciated

I run Maxibloom exclusively for veg and flower. Since Maxibloom is very similar to the Lucas ratio, and since the Lucas ratio calls for the same ppm throughout flower, I simply bump my ppms from 3/4 strength in veg to full strength in flower and keep it their until I flush at the end of flower. (Full strength Maxibloom is roughly 1 tsp/gal and full strength ppms with my tap water is 1250, 950 nutes and 300 water)
PS, I too grow in coco

EDIT
What defs are you getting?

It also depends on your conversion factor of your TDS meter. At .5, 2EC=1000ppm and
at .7, 2EC=1400

I think the upper limit is between 2.5 and 2.85 EC which is 1250 to 1425ppm at .5
and 1750 to 2000 ppm at .7

Much above those numbers I believe is a waste and could burn your plants.

So true man, that .5, .7 conversion always confused me. My numbers are with a .5 pen.

This is what I try to follow

Week 1 500 ppm of veg nutes 500 ppm of flower nutes

Week 2 1000 ppm flower nutes

Week 3 1100 ppm flower nutes with bloom boosters starting

Week 4 1300 ppm flower nutes

Week 5 1700 ppm flower nutes

Week 6 1900 to 2000 ppm

Week 7 500 ppm with finishing additives

week 8 0 ppm nutes and tap water

This is my sched, works well, I do have to adjust it now and then depending on strains and temps, but I try to stick to that

Hey General, you could try using the accelerated formula of Cal-Mag @ 10ml/Gal to stop the deficiency. Coco likes to hold onto magnesium so that might help.

My ppm through flowering is:

Week 1 - 800 ppm
Week 2 - 900-1000 ppm
Week 3 - 1000-1100 ppm
Week 4 - 1100-1300 ppm
Week 5 - 1000-1100 ppm
Week 6 - 900-1000 ppm
Week 7 - 800 ppm
Week 8 - Flush

I'm using the AN organic line at ~1000ppm plus I add guano tea to get my ppm in range.

Peace

thanks for your feeding schedules guys.....

i flip through my garden saver book and the deficiency's to me, look like phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium... i have some pics in my cam from last night.... i'll post 'em tonight.

i'm so close to the end here and bud growth is stacking up, no signs of slowing....can we crash and burn this close to the end....???

i try to be a stress free grower so i'll just up the munchies and see what happens...

that is practically my ppm schedule exactly except I give a bloom boost early to get conversion started stronger.

I have often thought about it, that is why I give a transitional nute regiment the first week. I also find that it gets all the stretchiness out by the time week 2 has started

I do not think there is a wrong way, I just like to see the preemie buds before I start giving them bud food
