WELL this is what I get for not being at home with my plants. What happened is that someone decided to go into my room to "kindly" leave clean laundry on my bed BUT the plants were already in their dark period. I started it at 7 PM and usually keep them in the dark until sun-up/7 AM.

At some point after I left the house at 9 PM my bedroom light was turned on and I JUST WENT HOME AND FOUND THE LIGHT STILL ON. I hang two blankets directly across the closet opening, but the blankets don't cover the entire closet. I just have the blankets there to help keep some of the light from the lamps from waking me up during the day if I want to sleep.

The ceiling light in my room was probably on for at least 4 hours, but was possibly on for up to 5.5 hours and I'm worried this could effect the flowering of the plants! :(

Anyone with comments on this please let me know what you think so I can calm myself. I feel like I'm being totally irrational about this, but those plants have become my life! I honestly almost lost my cool when I got home and realized what happened; I was almost embarrassed at my anger. :<

i wouldnt worry. ive had similar things happen to me with almost no effects whatsoever..
dont sweat it.. just make sure this doesnt happen regularly. good luck man

Thanks...I just felt my heart sink and my internal temp jump 10 degrees. I ran in and turn the light off. Definitely will be at home for dark periods from now on.

Or maybe just start doing my own laundry. :P

Don't sweat that one bit. Your plants will be fine. I've left my doors open numerous times during my grows.

This incident is just another reason I need to get my own place. My mom knew about me germinating the plants and at one point was tolerating me growing them, but then later told me to get rid of them. Now I feel like a jackass for a) continuing to grow them, and for b) having to now deal with the fact that my mom has gone in there and most likely seen that I am still growing them.

I hate anxiety. If only it was f--king legal. UGH.

You should checkout the stealth pc builds in the micro grow section, it gives you the ability to take care of some weed plants and if you get it dialed in right you can pull some good nugs too.

It's my mom's house. I'm not at risk of being turned in or anything, but I could see her just throwing my plants out.

Shit, I would. I might in the future. It would just be a shame and a waste if I got rid of my plants I have now. They are like 14-15 inches and will be ready for harvest in about 1.5 months. I'm going to try and ride this out as long as I can.

wel first and fore most i hate that flip flop shit, say its cool one minute and then flip the next!! my mothers done it to me with other things besides growing, dont care WHO it is, its a trait i DO NOT LIKE ABOUT PEOPLE PERIOD!!! BUT your right, just go ahead and get your own place and call it a day, and still do the stealth cab thing, just for the sake of light leaks alone, even if its a one bedroom.

and i agree, cant wait till the ignorance stops and we can all grow in fuckin peace!!! things are startin to get friggin ridiculous now!!!
