The mums suffered slightly being grown in the cold winter, as I think Doc himself pointed out elsewhere on IC, Coco is not great in cooler temps..... However 2 of my 5 are showing some interesting leaf deformations, might even get a rare bit of bud out of the centers when she flowers.

Thanks all for the reports, I cannot wait to get these into flower and check out the CSSH, appetite well and truly whetted.

5 Mums

The Extra bit,

The curly tube bit,

The Extra bit,

We've seen extra leaf petioles like this before in other strains,, but never in this Cheese x SSH.

The only time we've seen tubes like this before,, is when there was a caterpillar involved. Check the inside for silk and a grub.

Otherwise that's a freak of nature man,, possibly influenced by a pH instability over the coco medium... we've seen plant do the strangest stuff over coco mediums.. but never these trumpet tubes. Cool stuff .. thanks for sharing

One love

that will make someones day....

hey Doc, do you wait for male flowers to be fully formed, but still closed before chopping branches off to go in some water ??

i presume if you took the branch too early the pods wont open or form properly ?

thanks man

We started experimenting by placing flowering male cuttings into jars of water years back now,, mostly as a method of moving live male pollen from one garden to another

The male flowers need to be formed,, and projected from the plant,, but still un-opened to reap pollen using this method.

The exact stage when the branches can be cut ,, and still give some pollen,, depends on the individual plant and strain. Older / mature plants yield more pollen,, that's all. Just 1 pollen sac can pollenate a whole female,, easy

The important thing is to make sure the pollen doesn't fall in the water.. lol

Hope this helps

N.B. .. we're still experimenting with this ,, but its a great way of keeping viable pollen on the side anywhere at any time of year.

This is NOT a method that any of the breeders stocking FRT use,, or any other breeders we know of,, just me

Full props to dem So7omon Seeds
Not to worry, since we received plenty of the Cheese/SSH thanks to an angel of fortune its been my intention to make F2's at first given opportunity the heavens provides. We've got the spicy cheese to run also which is highly anticipated.

blessings all
