C99 F2 med grow log

Hi all,

I started these back on jan 27th. Im using pro-mix hp and foxfarm happy frog. I have only used water up till 2 weeks ago when i started using some neptunes seaweed ferts. They were started under cfl's , but have been under a 430 hps for a week. I have a 1000w lumantek on its way too. I will be using pure blend pro line of ferts.

Really excited about this as i lost all my c99 mothers years ago. I got the original beans from the bros from heavens stairway way back. She was one of my all time favorites, indoors and out. So far they remind me of the originals. Can't wait to smoke her again! Thanks for bringing these back DG! These will be spread accross the medical community in my state!

Pictures to come soon!

Heya chefro420....another lover of C99...so many reasons why she is considered a favorite among the growing masses. She is good medicine! Good on you for sharing with your med community!

Can't wait to see some pics!

Seeing how you have experience growing/smoking the originals from way back, which pheno do 'you' prefer? Pineapple, grapefruit, mix of each, or one that leans a bit more to the JH side (less sweet than pineapple...but with a hint of rotting fruit?).

Well i got the originals in 99 , i was only 20 and really had no idea what i got my hands on. The first year we sprouted 5 and got 2-3 females and 2-3 males. These were grown outside and i remember it being the best smoke I had experienced at that point. Even one of the males was covered in resin! Really dont remember much about it , just super dank tropical fruit!

Then maybe 2-3 years later after giving up on outdoors because of urban sprawl, deer and bud rot i popped the other 5. We got 2 females. One was a grapefruit tasting and the other a mix of grapefruit and the pineapple. Both very good in their own right. Eventually lost or tossed the mix and kept the grapefruit pheno . I had her up till about 3 years ago , when she finally succumbed to mites.

I also had another plant that came from a seed cross from the c99 outdoor grow. It was crossed with dutch treat. I popped i think 15 of these , and the 12th one was amazing. We called it simply "The 12". Not the best taste, but a massive yield and a high that left you lost out in the cold!

Really stoked to have these going again. Best part is these will be going to help people suffering in my state and will be spread around freely.

Makes it ALL worthwhile.

Just one favor....lol....my neck is getting a bit stiff looking at your pics sideways. Very appreciative that you share your pics....but could you please rotate them first before uploading? Will make for a much better viewing experience.

No worries....just a suggestion....my neck thanks you!

Good luck with the new job and upcoming small business endeavor! That can take up quite a bit of your time,
so am most appreciative for the time you work into your routine in order to share your grow here.

Wishing you much success!
