Hmmmm,,,, i had a few leaves that were like that ,,sorta,, mine were like camoflauged on the wierd half tho,, not "white".... I'd say check your pH,, then look into mass Iron def.,,, that's my best guess,, look through the sick plant thread by MNStitch,,, well my
is spent Good Luck MDaveEDIT: Here's a leaf from my NL5xhaze,, it had the problem i stated above,, here's a pic of the tip of the effected leaf,,, it was just camo tho,, not white,,think i deleted the other pictures of that leaf, they aren't in my gllery anymore anyways,, Last edited by wikidcalibudgrl; 10-07-2005 at 08:40 AM.. |

Im leaning towards anomaly. A deficiency would tend to show all over and not just one leaf.

I'd say anomally too. I've seen this on a few new sprout that I've had.

we do jack h too, will keep our eyes open..
NOT SO COMMON ANOMOLY!!!!!!!!!
may be a genetic mutation due to inbreeding?? obviously that section of the leaf is not producing chloraphyll ![]() there was a thread on OG once where someone had the exact same thing, the exact same coloration and pattern as yours, Mojave Dave. maybe try a search there, it was AT LEAST a year ago ![]() beautiful by the way cj |

I have seen this before as well,, not long ago,,
at a forum I left,, their grow section,,well,, is much less advanced than here. Dandaweedman is a mod there,, perhaps he could chime in. My thought and response was,, "Kewl,, now to propogate this and also enhance the potency,, as it would be very recognizable as a strain." LOL,, "Ebony and Ivory"?

Some guy put a pic and a letter to ed in high times from france a few years back. His plant was more sativa and had many leaves that looked just as yours do, Dave.... I would say an anomaly as his plant was very large and healthy. Weird huh?

Well it's decided then...anomally get's my vote too. And it really is a beautful little thing in person...the colours are a stark and vibrant green with a razor-thein transition into a smooth lemon yellow.
I wish I could isolate the gene that does this in plants, and creat a strain where this anomally occurs throught the plant. Now that would be a very cool strain! Jack Herer is supposed to make yer sticker peck out anyway, and to have a strong plant that looks truly bitchin' would be great. Maybe someone could take the reigns on this one and put something on the market in a few years! |

I've had a few of them.
Pretty Anamolous Dave. I like the whorled effect. I've posted this somewhere on the net. I may even have a few beans from the plant this came from. It's either an Oaxacan X Garlic or Oax X MLI F2.

Cosmic rays
ALoha,
Dude, if not by chemical manipulation of the genome, That looks like a cosmic particle passed through a special part of the gene and caused that unique mutation. read up on cosmic rays genetic mutation if interested. See ya
