Keeping Biddy E mothers

I have 3 packs of femmed BE to grow outdoors this spring and usually in that number of plants you can find a nice specimen to grow again.

Problem: "keeping mothers in veg can be difficult even under 24hrs.". How so? I don't see rudalis or any autoflowering genes in biddy anywhere and the fact that some of the pheno's finish late sept isnt exactly "early" in the strictest sense.

Are there pheno's that dont auto? Can the plant be cloned ?

Dazed and confused, looking for wisdom???

Here we have a e-z trigger plant. It seems to respond to being root bound, I found that some other "early" outdoor strains do the same. I have had several good mother's of Biddy Early, keep for 4 months or so. Just keep repotting and once your at you max pot size, do some root pruning once she slows her growth.

thanks firefly22. I found another thread that talks about auto pheno's but it doesnt give any characteristics about the plant.

This will be my first Magus grow. Ive looked at Biddy E for a while but it was really a couple of growers i know telling me that Gerrit was a talented fellow and that the biddy would bear that out so here i am.

I popped 3 seeds yesterday under 16/8. Im hoping in 30 or 40 days ill find one of the 3 to be a clone candidate, but most of the seeds i will just sprout and plant.

Damn, i just read a thread where the guy had 2 pheno's. One good pheno and the other autoflowered quickly that he trashed!!! wtf

As long as this strain has been around, someone should know if this variety has a pheno that autoflowers? Is it different than the nonauto pheno? Can that pheno be cloned?????

I thought autoflowers flowered at the 5th node regaurdless of the daylength.(and have rudalis in their makeup) The finish dates given for BE are Sept/october and not 8 weeks after germination.
.......and then it says, ".... mothers can be hard to keep in vegative state...".

Im confused.

Well, im 3 weeks in and the plants show good vigor and health. I cant tell much difference at this point between them but some have purpling and others not as much.

I have the seedlings under 15.5 which is within an hour of outdoor daylength at time of transplant around the 20th of April. I started them in 1 gallon pots but im about to replant in 2 gallons for the next 3 weeks to keep them from being rootbound. Ive kept the temps at 75 degrees day and 55 at night. Ive kept the ph at 6. 8 which matches my outdoor soil. Im setting them outside under natural daylight a couple of times a week for a few hours, so ive done all i can.

Theyre really pretty plants. I hope they dont auto on me.
