I have been dabbling in it. Overall one thing I learned, is patience is the work of trading. You will lose money if you dont have patience. To have patience you also have to have nerves of steel when it goes down. You will get emotional and panic if you see -100.00 loss on your stock and sell to stop your loss from getting larger, but then next week it goes back up and you may have been +200.00. To be able to do this proberly you have to have confidence in the stock.

Another tip, never catch a "falling knife" when the stock is going down. There is bottom a stock will reach in price when its going down and will sling back up like an elastic. You have to have a good feeling when thats going to happen. But that takes experince of watching charts for a long time from many stocks.

I was gonna short the s and p this week but by the time I would be in the market had already moved a lot early monday. I try not to chase moves and have left this alone. For now anyways.

Dennis Gartman said this is the start of a global bear market. He is quite good at predicting stuff or analyzing things.

Since i trade forex and it is said that forex will be bullish. I expect that to be true for the
Euro currencies anyway.

Im kicking myself for not converting all my savings from CDN $ to USD last year when it was on par. Would have made almost 30% by now.

I remember when bitcoins were first getting started in 2010 & were something like less than £1each....

Gutted is all I'm saying but I'm also glad I never got sucked into that silk road darknet buisness....oke?

Is it worth it to get started with a couple hundred dollars? Is there any tips or little known facts to make an average Joe become a pro?

I have a tip, never catch a falling knife.

When the stock price is dropping ride it out as it will spring back up....eventually. and if you play with the rule that you never gamble more than you can afford to lose then the above advice is pretty rock solid.

Peace

Another thing I learned is not to try to get rich, or make 50% or more per year. I try to make money and not to lose any money each year. Works so much better than swinging for the fences.

I have not traded this year, may go short this coming week. About the question is it worth it with $200. I go to make 10 or 20% per year, so no it is not in my own experience. You can get experience trading but it is unlikely you will double your money in a year.

Give it a shot though, I would say.
