I've used PK 13-14 with good results...like any other PKs
My preferred is still Plagron Alga Bloei 1.5-13-14 that unites all the needed components that the other companies separate between ferts and boosters.
Even used Biobizz Biobloom: good but too diluted...in facts its NPK values are low and they suggest to add it with every watering and add (=buy) the more expensive Topmax.

I have run the AB and 13/14 and it definitely works. B'cuzz root's/bloom are the same. they have a special method to extracting digitarius laminaras (kelp) that has proven itself for decades. Rosario is the man. I just pulled some 5+ year old bottles that have been sitting in the shade for 3 years outside. I just pulled it out. shook it.. no precipitates in AB or the 13/14 fed my Cali Kings Kush moms with that and some Calmg+ as well as some old AN humic acid (all found under the same tree) and my Kings kush moms just boosted almost a foot in about 4-5 days. Think I'm going to run a comparison against AN's new line of BS to prove that 4 bottles will compete or outdo 14 bottles any day of the week.

I'm puzzled about your statement about a kelp variety which I cannot find online, i.e. digitarius laminaras

Having said that, I'm fairly familiar with the various kelp meal/extracts from around the world and this is a new one on me - as well as Google.com

Here are the products of which I am familiar as well as their extraction methods...............

MaxiCrop - alkaloid extraction
Acadian Seaplants, Ltd. - modified alkaloid extraction
KELPAK - mechanical extraction process
KelpGrow - modified enzyme/mechanical extraction process
Eco-Nutrients - a straight enzyme extraction process

So besides using alkaloids, enzymes and mechanical extraction, what is Atami claiming as their proprietary process exactly?

Just curious.

As usual.

BTW - I'm a gambler. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that Atami is simply using KELPAK out of South Africa for the following reasons:

1. It's cheap
2. It's clear like water due to the mechanical extraction process that they employ
3. It's cheap

Sorry for the poorly spelled backwards BS I just spewed. "Atami's line of stimulators are formulated from a combination of two kinds of seawwed,
Laminaria digitata and Ascophyllum nodosum."

wiki:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laminaria_digitata

Sorry bout that.

I am NOT trying to bust your balls but the term 'laminaria' is possibly a term you may want to look at. I'm kinda getting the feeling that Atami is playing free and loose with this term in their product information.

Having said that, like you, I like to study things and kelp and kelp meal extracts is a favorite area of study for me. I'd like to share a few observations and perhaps that's a better topic for another thread?

Best wishes!

yo CC, I'ma try this 1 more time. 3 power failures in 1 hour... I know we have a mutual respect for eachother, and I don't trip, bro. We all good! I was a little off. I'm actually surprised w all your research on kelp, that you have never heard of Laminarias digitata. It's only in a handful of products but I will share a little story with you. I used b'cuzz bloom before I repped AN, and I noticed that I wasn't getting the density or the bouquet/flavor I was getting. I chocked it up to just being to used to my genes, or possible drift over the years. I visited a friend and he smoked me out on my genes he grew and it tasted fantastic. I asked him what he was doing different, and he said he started using B'cuzz again and how bomb it was. I thought it was just some kelp derived product like a million other products, but it is one of the few containing this breed of kelp.

EDIT: here's what I copied off hydrofarm-

B'Cuzz Bloom, 12 oz
SKU: BZB12
Weight: 1.0 lbs.
Package Dimensions: 1.8L x 2.5W x 0.3H
Suggested Retail: $20.00

Especially for the plant's blooming phase, Atami has developed the B'Cuzz Bloom Stimulator. B'Cuzz Bloom stimulator encourages flower cell production and increases the manufacture and transport of sugar molecules in the flower development. This will lead to big, dense flowers and great taste. In this way, quantity as well as quality will increase on the final product. This bloom additive will help push your plants into bloom and keep them there. When a vegetative plant takes in blooming cells through the root system, those blooming cells set off a chain reaction within your plant. Coupled with the lights being cut from 18 to 12 hours, your plants will have no choice but to stop growing and start producing fruits and vegetables. The continual use of these bloom additives will ensure your plants will stay on the right course. Stresses such as interrupted light cycles and temperature variations that come with cold mornings and inevitable power outages will be minimized with these products.

NPK: 0 - 0 - 0.7
Derived from: Laminara Digitata, Ascophyllum Nodosum
