General Organics
Thoughts? Comments? ... after doing a titles search i'm surprised there aren't any threads talking about this new line.
a comment made on the GH blog : Quote:
I was considering using the General Organics BioThrive but I wasn't sure if it would clog the misters in my EZ cloner. I've been using it with Cal/Mag+ to feed my soil mothers and so far they love it. |

I have used them with great results for soil. Used grow/bloom/camg/ and their others here and there.. The yield was as good as anything else and taste was sublime.
I am just getting into hempy buckets, and have been considering using them with a clone as a test.. they are going great using GH nutes, but I'd like to see if I can do it with the GO vegan line...would be sweeeet. anyone else use them in hempy buckets?? |

I actually looked into this line of nutes for my organic DWC. I contacted GH and they said that these nutes are designed for soil. Not hydroponics. They are VERY thick (imagine runny guacamole). That was the bloom booster atleast. Seems like good stuff, but not for my application.

I use them in my LP Aero bucket with no problems. BioMarine smells like someone ass-fucked a tuna, so I don't use it for the hydro.

Never mind the last post, I started having crazy pH spikes and have switched to Sensi Grow A&B. Lots of slime also:( Didn't clog the misters though.

Hi all,
I have been using the GO BioRoot and BioMarine on soil, hydro, and aero plants. The BioMarine does stink as someone had said previously, but I have not experienced clogging or anything aside from the smell. In my experience, this is actually the easiest to use fish(squid) product I have seen. There are lots of fish emulsions like Alaska fish fertlizer and Drammatic-O fish fertilizer etc... but none of them will work well in a reservior. Most fish products stink more the longer they sit, I think the BioMarine stinks less as it sits and stews in the res. It still stinks when it runs and drains back on my ebb/flow table, but it does not smell as bad as 20 of fresh nutes just mixed up. I would really like to see a grow report of someone who used the whole line, I really want to try these but I am hesitant. Peace all.

well, with true organic hydro, you would want a bio filter to establish microbes, and to have the microbes process the raw material into usable material..
how far the GO line is fermented / water soluble I have no clue. as I read the CaMg label, and it is sort of chelated, so should be usable in hydro, if your running any sort of microbes in the water also speaking out loud... as I am excited to try some organic hydro coming up... |
