Piece of left-over, southern-fried lake trout fillet for breakfast, warmed in the nuker, and flash-crisped in the cast iron skillet to preserve the breading's consistency without over-cooking the thing & drying it out. Accompanied by a piece of dry whole grain wheat berry toast..... and black French Roast coffee, stoutly brewed.
There's few sweeter fish in the fresh water than a well-fatted laker. My wife, for some reason, doesn't care for them, preferring the sockeye/red salmon.. She was somewhat surprised when I commented that the lake trout taste 'less fishy,' and sweeter overall. Different strokes.... My younger son and I feasted on lake trout last night, and by my count, we still have 7-1/2 fish remaining in the freezer, after gifting 3 of them to deserving parties. The remaining fish will be eaten before they begin to lose moisture to the bags they're in, as we didn't seal them in air-tight bags this time around.. One of the problems with bringing fish out of the bush, already frozen in gallon zips in a cooler. |

I had leftover fish this morning too. I'm sure the trout you had was much better than my catfish. I used to have a friend that caught fish. Fresh fish is the best..

Had a turkey sub from Jimmy John's earlier for the first time.don't think they are much better than subway except I think they might put more meat on them

I'm really liking these mangoes lately. Mostly sweet with a tiny bit of sour. Not as watery as other fruit either.
