Looking to start growing again but lost all my equipment in a move. Could anyone recommend some good/cheap hydro shops in LA? Looking to buy these items: -darkroom 60/80 -250/400w hps -4" inline fan/scrubber

Unless you go to one of the fancier places around, like Better Grow Hydro in Pasadena, you need to haggle wherever you go. I used to go to Pacific Coast Hydro in Culver City (Sepulveda/Washington,) and Foothill Hydroponics (Burbank/Cahuenga) and One-Stop Hydroponics (Victory/Coldwater Canyon) in NoHo. Foothill Hydro has been there since the 60's, and you can haggle with that guy pretty well. He marks-up all his stuff, and I think he expects to barter, so be prepared with opposing prices from online retailers which also have shops in the area. There are tons of places, so you'll get lots of different answers. Play them against each other--there is a lot of competition in the area.

I have been going to no stress hydro in w. hollywood recently.

not much of an online presence, and not a very large store, but good peeps, good prices, and always cheaper if you are paying cash.

doubt they carry the darkroom though.

I've been happy doing business with Green Coast Hydroponics. They have locations in Long Beach, Anaheim, Whittier, and Santa Barby.

betergrow in passadena ripped me off stuck to there high prices(msrp) but they were only place i could get that "magc ingredant" i needed, otherwise its greencoast, good prcing, and u can haggle a nice deal when u get a whole setup like ur aiming for.

I found a shop in Redondo Beach thats pretty sick, they have everything in stock and its real chill in there. The prices are the same as everywhere else but after awhile they get to know you and will give me better pricing. I get free drinks from the cooler and they really know about growing.
