so, I posted a thread about light bleaching before becuase my plants were turning white as a ghost from the top down starting in the middle. Also my leafswere twisting sideways and the tips were turning a little brown jsut at the very end. Now, I thought it could be light bleaching under 200 watt flouros but I want to say I doubt it because Ive grown hundreds under floros before with no problem. I found out tho that the botanicare nutrients I have, have no calcium or magnesium in them. Also Im watering with perfect ph level RO water but that dosent have calcium or magnesium in it either. SO the plants basicly have to calcium or mag in their diet. Im wondering if these 2 deficiencys could make a plant turn white as light bleaching will? what is a good botanicare product with trace minerls in it?

Botanicare is a great line. Maybe you should get their Cal-Mag?

As far as plants turning white....yea I seen that under 600 and 1000 watt HPS....but NEVER floros.

Sounds like you got other probs. Why are you using R/O water? What pH are you watering and feeding at?

Calcium defs are rarely seen, but mag defs are common. But plants don't turn white when they are mag def. They get rusty spots.

More info is needed to get you a proper answer me thinks. Got any pics???

check my album. Im using distilled water tripple filterd, vapor distilled. My tap water is SUPER hard water it smells like sewage and sulfer. Im using general hydroponics ph test up/down kit and I hit it with 5.5 ph. i orderd 20 kilos of coco coir from botanicare and I just got their clearex and pro gro coco veg stuff. I have like 8 other nutrients and addatives of theirs.
