Question

High there BOG
Just wondering how long you would expect to wait for Bogglegum to show preflowers under 18/6. Going into the 5th week of veg here, and still no sign Also, what kind of stretch would you predict once switched to 12/12?
Thanking you kindly

None of my Bogglegums showed preflowers under 18/6, but showed in about 8-9 days of 12/12. My Lifesavers showed preflowers at about 7 weeks.

Pre-flowers often occur if vegged long enough on 18/6 but individual plants vary due to variation or conditions. Bogglegum does tend to bush out pretty well with most phenos but it does grow on significantly in flowering making it a fine yielder in a short flowering time. Did you notice that Bogglegum recently received honorable mention in the last High Times? Not bad eh? Bogglegum is NL5 x bubblegum. BOG

Thanks Bog. You already answered some of my questions in this thread...
What are the main advantages of soil over hydro in your opinion?

Sour Bubble would have been in the top 9 but Danny told me he hadn't tried it yet.

I should have sent him a sample I guess.

Watch for a special on Bogglegum coming soon.

Manga Rosa, I dont really argue soil or organics to be better, just what I know. I acknowledge higher yields with hydro ponics in less veg time but hydro does cost a bit more to start and maintain. To me a small grower will do just as well in soil and organics tend to make flavors good in either hydro or soil growing. I try to encourage experimentation in all forms of growing and I teach what I do. BOG

Bog I am starting some Lifestar BX1 and was wondering how they handle nutes in Veg and Flower. I heard that Sensi-Star didn't really like alot of Nutes. I am growing in Soil. Peace...Peach

Question My question(s)

How easily pollen pollinates plants?

I'm thinking of popping some beans (your SB bx3, ECSD bx3, C99xBlackberry, Willems Wonder x Sour Diesel, Kali Mist, Jackfrost.. - any growing tips for any of these strains? Especially info about if any of these fit nicely SOG-style of growing is VERY APPRECIATED), and i have a plan that i'd keep some males. I'd have these in a wardrobe (has a separate door; basic room door, and there's about 5 sq meters space) which i use as a veg room. On the room leading to that room, i'll have my flower space. There i will have some plants running which shouldn't be pollinated.

I can secure the door pretty good, BUT, if i have a lil cabin in my veg room, which i will use for pollination (just like a few CFL's, i'll throw a male there, get a female from the flower room etc let the nature do it's magic).. I'm concerned if i don't have a filter on the cabin air output, i'll get the flower room girls pollinated (e.g. coz i open the veg room door when i go to check on things there etc) ..

Also, if i keep males in veg, will they open their preflower balls?

How long should i flower a girl (like half of it's cycle or more or less?) before putting it to the cabin with a male for best results, best pollination and most seeds and so that they'll have time to develop correctly??

And how long should i keep the male on 12/12 before introducing the female to him?

How much air circulation i should have in the cabin to get the girl pollinated good? Maybe i should plant a fan to push air from the top to the bottom and vice versa (to get the air really mixing)??

All input from you BOG is very valuable, please give me some of your insight on these questions
