Nice Crop Dark Angel...

I liked your B & W photo because you dont see good pics online that way very often. I had to make many of the pics in my book B & W to make its 85 pics affordable to print but the pics are clear like yours. Good luck with your harvest and thanks for considering my genetics for your grow in the future. My flowering times have been updated in my most recent strainguide but times range from as little as 45 days with a couple strains. Bogglegum is very fast as is bogbubble. I dont add 2 weeks but those flowering very young should add one week as I veg longer than most. My plants are often in preflower when I send them to flower but not usually. Outdoor growers should consider flowering times based on 12/12 indoors so outdoor times will indeed be longer in most cases. My strains probably average as fast as any seed company that I know of as it is a big consideration with me. My favorite flowering time is actually 7-8 weeks so that its long enough to get the yield needed to justify veg times. Sour Bubble grows on least in flower so it isnt considered my big yielder. It is my most potent and tightest bud so far however.

Immortal, other than starting clones on 24 and revegging a plant I dont recommend over 20/4 hours and 18/6 is more likely to show sex sooner. The plant will go into flowering faster if preflowers have been seen in veg normally.

GRW420, yes it can easily be grown single cola by not removing any top sun leaves or topping the plant. Many tend to not branch much that way and you can just remove any lower branches to accomplish what you want. I assume you mean you have a lot of seed plants and you want the best mom. Normally a clone of each plant is taken and numbered to match the mother. Then either is flowered and results are recorded. Then a choice is made based on your criteria whatever they may be. To make it easier dont clone any weak looking plants for one thing. Make hardiness a factor in selection first and your outcomes will be good yielding hardy plants. The fine the best product with good structure to yield well in your garden. BOG

Lifestar 1st bx is tight.

Replenish beans!

Hi Bog,

I have a friend who has Multiple Sclerosis. He is down to his last DJSBM and Lifesavers, five ea. strain. He can not reorder. Can you please explain the easiest and best way for him to replenish his supply of beans and when to harvest them? He has Sensa-Soak if that would help. He is a newbie and things have not been going well for him. Can't even think about cloning, Need beans. Would you happen to know the best strain being used for MS now? Sorry, three questions. Many thanks and oh how we need the book.

The easiest way to replentish seeds stocks is to order some seeds.

Sensa soak isnt what you want if you plan to make seeds because it kills off the males that you will need at least one of. If making seeds get a male pollenating when females are showing pubic hairs and shake the male over them.

It takes about 6 weeks for seeds to mature depending on how long flowering a strain it is but longer is better and the seeds should be dark. Make sure they are air dried for at least 2 weeks before bagging and refrigerating them.

Anyone can make seeds for themselves. BOG

Cool Funny?

Sir BOG,
I'm not complaining or whining, or looking for replacements (yet), but,
germinated 10 SB bx1 with papertowel method, within 12 hrs all opened, two split in half with a indescriminate pulpy substance, after planting in Black Magic cutting mixture, two came up and could not shake the seed case, the one I'm really curious about is where the tap root came up instead of the bean end, (weird). I do have pictures but right now I'm getting an error message as I try to upload them.
Two questions;
1:should I have tried to pop the hull off my self?
2: I just piled up mixture on top of tap root hoping it will turn around.
Seen This?

Thanks
SDog

BOG I have recently seen a little nute lock out with my plants. Well at least thats what Wally Duck and I have come to believe. I was doing a little Tracking down of the causes. I found that the water I use for my plants, ArrowHead Drinking Water, contains Minerals for added flavor. As I usually stay away from that. This is the best water so far I can obtain for my plants. I found this water contains Calcium Chloride,Magnesium Chloride and Sodium Bicarbonate. Now I am guessing this is causing the lockout of Nitrogen and other nutes. What can I do? Considering a flush wont do it.

Smokin Dog it sounds as if you may have planted one seed upside down shallowly. It is hard for a seed to have to turn back down if planted upside down so try and plant them growing root tips down or at no worse than sideways. If anyone has a problem with any BOG Seed it doesn't matter whose fault it is. I take care of you personally so PM me if you need warrenty work.

Normally the best water is Reverse Osmosis because it has some minerals left in it unlike distilled water. PH may be the problem if not in the 6-7 range as best nute uptake is between 6.3-6.8 and ph rises as a plant dries normally. Best yields are obtained when all feedings and waterings are done adjusted to 6.0 as it will rise through the grow day and until the next watering. BOG
