Be patient because while many growers claim to have roots in a few days often it takes 3 weeks. BMR isn't hard to clone but a hardy plant with a large cutting has the best chance of surviving. New cloners often have problems at first. Did you use a rooting hormone? A dose of superthrive in a weak solution may induce rooting but only half a small capful can do a gallon so go easy. After a while a clone may need more light than they can take at first. Stop misting and see if they root or die eventually. BOG

As far as fem seeds it could be done but I have no current plans to do it. Sorry but feminized Sour Bubble could be done eventually.

Hello BOG; on your more dense Indicas do you ever trim some of the veg leafs to allow more light to the lower buds?

In a word, "Yes".

You see this plant has such large leaves that the under branches get no light at all. While plants need their sun leaves at least one of these leaves will have to be removed before flowering to get a decent yield. Normally I would top this once and remove one or two of the upper fans eventually. Lower fan leaves once yellowed can be removed before they rot but leave leaves on the plant as much as possible. They are the sugar factories that feed the bud growth. BOG

Hey Bog! I was wondering if you had any updates on the topped vs non-topped test you were doing? I'm still hesitant to top, but If all goes well with you, I will top also. -Peace

Hey Bog, I have a question about transplanting. My SBBX3's are in 4 inch pots which are 3 inches deep and roots have just poped out of the bottom this mornin. Are they ready to transplant or do they need to root for a few more days?

Also, If I take the top 2 inches for a clone and put it in 12/12 how long do you think it would take to show sex. Im a micro scrog grower and my screen is about 6 inches from the top of my flowering container so i need to know sex asap. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

HERE's my babies

Hello BOG,
I am using Foxfarm organic mix soil and it doesn't have any time release nutes in it. My first question is should I still use only 1 cup of each blood and bone meal or maybe add a little more of each? And my 2nd question is I am starting 6 Bogglegums under 4 2ft flouros, How long would you recommend leaving them under the flouros for?

Thanks for your time and all the help you give to us new growers.

Tony, I have done it many times both ways and usually topped yields more if allowed to grow for 10 days minimum after topping. Not topping is a greater risk for mold and there really is no reason not to top most plants as it encourages under branches to catch up making a nice round bush. Go ahead and top them man.

Immortal, 3 inches isnt deep enough so transplant now as they could easily become stunted and stressed. Even if not fully rooted a transplant before stunting starts will make things keep going as fast as possible but be careful not to allow the root ball to fall apart damaging fragile roots. SB flowers fast so even a little bugger should show sex in about 2 weeks max but I havent tried it.

AXLE, you can go with up to twice that amount once the plants are of some size. About 1.5 of each should be plenty however and its too hot for babies. The old type floros are weak but can be used for at least 2 weeks. I prefer the compact floros that you can get almost as cheap now and they have linear ones. 17 watt tubes much brighter than a 40 watt old type for its length at least. The spiral bulbs are good too and can be used longer in veg. BOG

Hi B.O.G., tasty lookin' strains, Your flowering times are consistantly low which is exellent! My question is, Are you counting the first 2 weeks of 12/12 as flowering? if you are then I am impressed indeed and shall be putting an order in quickstyle! I've got a White Russian mother leaning towards its sativa side at the moment, 77 days flowering... it takes an age!!!! your 40+day strains sound like heaven! The real question is... which do you recommend?
