Budder for the Birds
LOL. I am getting my wild birds stoned... haha.
I had some leftover budder that was really old, so I melted it into some peanut butter suet to feed the birds. They seem to prefer the marijuana laced suet over regular. After eating a whole bunch of this MJ budder suet, one wren came to the back door, pecked on the glass with a rollling paper in her beak!! BIRD SUET RECIPE: Budder Shortening or Lard Raisins Nuts Ripe Bananas, smashed Peanut butter Quaker Oats Corn Meal Melt lard, budder and peanut butter in pan on stove. Once melted turn off heat, add raisins, nuts, ripe bananas. Next stir in corn meal and oats. Get consistency to that of wet cookie dough, thick, but still moist. Put it in plastic containers, let it set up and place in suet feeder outside for the birds. Can be stored in freezer till needed at bird feeder. |

oh no!
Now the bird feeder has been over run by these wild hippie looking birds. They are blue, green and red, with a little purple.
I think they are probably Americanus Cheechavians. but I'm not sure. |

I had some bluebirds actually peck on the door till I made a batch of suet.
The birds love this recipe as it is full of energy and fat. The budder was old, I figured the birds would enjoy it. My freezer is full of trim, can't even get any food inthere anymore. Gotta get rid of it by making new budder... |
