Planning for my 2011 Greenhouse

HI everyone,

Lots of great info in the greenhouse forum so I'd figure I would see what you guys/gals thought about my plans for 2011. I live in in the South East United states where the growing seasons for almost everything thrives! I am very close in graduating school majoring in horticulture and figure its about time to my ducks in a row.

The idea is to have a 30' by 95' H Style 6mm Poly Greenhouse with 2' gravel flooring that allows us for roll up sides in warmer months. 20" Exhaust fans will be installed as well for exhaust. I was wondering if anyone else had anymore ideas for cooling or heating for a poly greenhouse of this size?

The Crop: We plan on growing vine ripe tomatoes as well as cucumbers in Sub Current style RDWC 8 Gallon Buckets. We will be selling our product at our local farmers market that is desperate need of quality product. This is until our state passes medical marijuana, which lets hope is soon and we will make our switch to a primary caregiver greenhouse for medical marijuana.

Basically we want our operating greenhouse to be completely ready to make the jump from our legal veggie production to medical MJ. If the veggie production is doing well then we will of course start a separate house for the MJ.

My question to you out there is plant spacing in greenhouses for MJ? The plan that is currently drawn up calls for 6 row divided into 2 sections making for a total of 12 rows. A large walkway in the very middle of the greenhouse as well as between plants would be ideal. We plan on running 32 XL Buckets per row totaling a little under 400 plants. Is this sufficient spacing in your idea for this size greenhouse? This will be only a flowering greenhouse the utilizes automatic shade clothes to induce force flowering at specific veg times. We plan on vegging plants indoors under MH lights or in a separate greenhouse.

There will be supplemental lighting via 1000w HPS Lumatek Ballasts for those shady days and last few weeks of flower and set up to flip flop to a second greenhouse if added later.

Has anyone had experience growing DWC Hydro in greenhouses? most hydroponic production that I have been able to find is grown in rockwool in slabs. I would like to stay away from this

Any info and critiques are more than welcome

Guys growing big trees, should I make the jump from 8 Gallon Modules to 15 Gallon Modules per plant for more root real estate?
