male when it's working well, but given the words I chose when it is recalcitrant female.
I used to work with a guy who wrote an internal toolset we used called genre, I always referred to it as he: he does this..." and wynn would say: "no, genre is a she"

I think mine is a male because when things go wrong with it, I always call it a "son of a bitch".
