Public Service Announcement about Botanicare Sweet

It appears that quite a few people are using this product Sweet, Berry Sweet, Grape Sweet, Citrus Sweet, while remaining in the dark about what's in it.

That's 1.5% Magnesium which is .25% more than the most popular Ca / Mg one-part supplements.

I'm not saying don't use it, but for the sake of your sanity, tread carefully with this product.

If you knew this already, the thread wasn't aimed at you. It's not a smart-ass thread, it's exactly what the title says, a PSA. You don't have to repeat my errors.

Well it's not going to be a problem unless the Ca and Mg are thrown out of balance.

Not to pick on that one person, but here is the example from the other thread we just both replied too.

Quote:
Agressive Bloom: pbp bloom 15 ml/gal
lkbloom 2.5-3.5 ml/gal
cal mag 10ml/gal
sweet 10ml/gal
Ripen and a 10 day flush
It's a soil grow, certainly not my area of knowledge specifically.

However with the PBP, CalMag+ and Sweet that's a 88 ppm of Mg to Ca 132 ppm. Something to keep in mind...

I don't know what lkbloom is nor what the ratios are.

It turns out that LKL contains no Ca or Mg.

Just getting back to the example - Mel Frank recommends 30-60 ppm of Mg.

its.always.420 is on a distinguished road
If you're using low-ppm tap water, could you use it (or technaflora sugardaddy, same thing) INSTEAD of cal-mag so as not to induce lockout from too much calcium? Seeing as the tap water probably already got enough calcium...
