Stop Pulling product claims out your backside
Its bad enough most additives make false claims, the least a responsible forum user could do is keep the product claims straight.
I just corrected a claim of sm90 as a root accelerator, and a claim of superthrive as a ph down. The misinformation is bad enough in the rest of the forums, but it is at an EXTREME in this subforum. You have been warned! PLEASE if you're going to post a products claim, make sure you are posting the correct claim. [/confident that will fix 100% of problems] |

Really sm90 as a root acclerator?
Wetting agent and sulphur foliar spray for sure, did they say how it accelerated root growth?

From the Nutrilife (makers of SM90) web site:
Purpose: Encourages new root growth. How it Works: When added in small quantities directly to plant nutrient solutions, new root growth emerges. Treated plants develop greater root area, root runs and exhibit generally healthier root development. |

Depends how you take this information and the context in which it was given
Superthrive WILL lower the PH level in your reservoir. I run 100 gallon rez s and use superthrive in veg, when added it usually puts PH down 1 point. Obviously its a ridiculous idea to use it as a permanent solution to adjust your PH, however, after reading the original thread you "corrected", the fact that it lowers PH was listed as an additional note/point of information to using superthrive, Which is correct!!!!! Not trying to be an ass but thats my experience with superthrive bro ))

As i just posted,(and my opinion is up for debate) but i thought sm90 inhibits pathogens, this would/could help root growth, but IMO inhibiting pathogens shouldnt be classified as 'promoting growth' (hormones could be).
Personally i was wrong, if nutrilife (or whatever) is claiming that, then it was a bad example of users pulling claims out their asses. BUT IT WAS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THE COMPANIES FEEDING US BULLSHIT taking too many liberties in my opinion |

Yeah
I totally understand your point of view, and it needed pointing out to people. i just read a thread where someone recommended topmaxx as a pk substitute to someone ![]() haha Your right in what your sayin tho, lots of new people take what they read here as gospel, and a few misinformed words can ruin a good grow for some unlucky person ))))))

From Kelly Zastowny, owner of Nutrilife:
SM-90 was never intended for using in the reservoir but it has turned out to be quite a savior for many problems. It was originally designed for "S"pider "M"ites on roses, in 19"90", hence the name. SM90 acts as a wetting agent which promotes root growth. In addition to spider mite eradication and prevention, it also prevents powder mildew when used as a foliar spray. |
