General Organics

hey

im about to do a run of GO with r/o water for a crop of meds. should i be better off using a soilless mix like sunshine organic #4 or should i mix up an organic soil mix with some nutes in it? i dont know what the advantage of either would be cause im feeding with liquid organic nutes.

thx

General Organics is fine in soilless and soil. It will work in some types of hydro but can clog lines and rez's. It worked great in soilless for me, but don't skimp if you do. Get the Bio-Root and Bio-Weed too. Did you see the $ on the Bio-Bud? $37 per quart at only 2.5ml a Gal. It works, but the price will keep me from using it in the future.

Wanted to add that G.O. has a pretty bad upward PH drift in the first 24 hours. Molasses helped me stablelize but I dislike the addition of yet another product. It's not the simplest.

When I add Bio-Root, Cal/Mag+, Bio-Weed, and the Grow formula, it is usually between 4.6-4.9. HTH.

If you want a specific combo, I could check.

Cool thanks for the info...I was hoping that the ph would be a lil higher....Does anyone see future problems if i was to use that solution for veggin in just coco? Btw What medium do u use them nutrients on? also is that RO water or tap? If u can do one too for the bloom cycle mix that would awesome Thanks again.

Give me till the end of the day and I'll post everything for the Veg and Bloom sections.

I run r/o water and will just use the basics if you like.

I have all the additives, so please tell me what you want mixed exactly.

Oh yeah, I run a coco/hydroton mix.

Hmmm i thought i posted a reply but i guess someting didnt work out lol...anyways i also have the complete line excluding the Diamond Black. So if u could just mix up the veg/bloom solutions according to their feed schedule that would be great. Btw what was your experience using these nutes in the coco/hydroton medium u use? Thanks again for all the help!!!

Good vibez

I have to mix and feed in the morning, so I can post it then. I can say with absolute certainty that it has always fallen between 4.7 and 5.3 for both. Always. I'll give you my exacts in the AM.

I found it was an alright line. I need to work with it a little more. On the one hand you have a lot of versatility with the "add-on's", but that means more money too.

For me, I chose it because it was Vegan. That was important to me and worth the cost. It should go without saying that I didn't use the Bio-Marine for that reason. I want to like it, and I'm not disappointed, but I can't say it's better than anything else I've used.

Bottom Line: If having vegan plant food is important to you, then this is top notch. If you don't care, I can't say the expense is justified over other lines.

Yea that was one of the reason's i called them up and asked for a sample line cuz it was supposed be vegan etc...I hardly use the biomarine since it has a stronger odor and my wife cant stand it lol. What did u find was a good feeding schedule for your plants in coco using it? I already use it on a happy frog/coco mix and seems to work nice...its just trying to figure out what to feed and when in straight coco or coco/hydroton so i dont spoil a future crop. Does the low ph cause any lockout ? Thanks again for takin the time to answer my questions!
