Recently, I once again found myself the benefactor of an certain generous individual and I feel I need to share with you a bit of this adventure...

OJD OG Kush x G13/Haze

The particular phenotype I chose as a sample was a fairly balanced representation of both parents in appearance and structure. So, I assumed this was a fair pheno to give a report on.

The buds this plant produces are very light and delicate. They have a general shape that the bud seems to hold with some stiffness and rigidity, but as soon as you start chipping away at one piece, it seems to become fragile and wants to fall apart into small 0.2 - 0.3g fluffs of pure sugar. The resin coverage on this bud is extreme, and the resin head are very attached to their stalks. It is like you almost half to TRY to break them free. So this was potent smoke as you can imagine, simply because the resin heads stay intact and attached.

The smells coming from this plant are very specific and pointed. A light oddly sweet but defiantly lemon smell is immediately present but is accented with an obvious musty, powdery / perfume smell...the tell-tale sign of some haze present in these genes. When breaking this bud up, the haze smell seems to take over in the air and your fingers take on the sweetly lemon smell...but wait, there is also a new twinge of fuel in the lemon...must have been released when crushing the resin glands....smells wonderful and makes rolling it a bit tedious...simply because you just want to be done so you can taste it already...hahaha!!!

The high from this herb is instant and obvious. It starts in the center of the head and begins to settle into what feels literally like your eye sockets. The high intensifies and I begin to actually feel a bit uncomfortable with the amount of pressure on my eyes, and then I suddenly realize how extremely vivid and bright light and colors are...this entertains me for about 20 minutes or so, and then the effects begin to ease off a bit and my neck and shoulders become warm and loosened and I begin to "settle" into the buzz. However, in about 35 minutes or so, the effects grow heavier and I begin to feel a bit sleepy. My eyes are watery and yawning makes the back of my head tingle a bit...

I was truly surprised how heavy the high had gotten, and I decided, after I woke up, of course...that perhaps I had smoked a bit too much so proceed to take one single hit...4 hours after the first full session....and was surprised to experience the exact same ride and effects, to a lesser extreme. But the high and effects were consistent, regardless the quantity. It seemed to me that .3g was just as effective as 1g, the only difference being how many hours I wanted to sleep after smoking...lol.

I would assume, AFTER smoking, that the particular pheno I had sampled, had a bit more indica expression than I had anticipated. Another thing I noticed, is while there was a ceiling on this bud, there was zero tolerance build up over a period of 3 weeks of random use. This bud was definitely potent and super tasty...without question medical quality.

As always, I will follow this general report with a standard report/form.

Chrome Braingum

This may very well be some of the frosty cannabis I have seen to date. For those of us who live in colder climates, you will be able to relate to this very easily...but you know how snow sounds when you step on it after it has just fallen and sat untouched over night? That fresh crackly, crunch...but not breaking...a compression sound, you can hear it getting tighter. Well, Braingum breaks up in the exact same manner. You literally hear the trichomes crackling and you can feel them packing together in the grooves of your fingers. Interestingly enough, they really needed a bit of warmth to be worked and pressed...otherwise they actually felt a slight bit sandy to the touch. Normally I wouldn't spend as much time focused on resin glands themselves...but frankly, there was just as much keif from a gram of this bud as there would be from an entire 3.5g of other strains.

Honestly, the smell from this particular pheno was a bit odd. It was almost as if this bud had zero smell. It really took a good stirring of the buds to get them to give off a scent and even then I had to search for it. But as soon as you begin to break it up and warm/crush the resin heads, you quickly catch a light hint of a floral citrus...as in perhaps an exotic tropical flower of sorts...and it makes you want to get a better hit of this undertone. However, upon pulling a half ground piece of bud to my nose, quickly revealed a new unpleasant scent...perhaps a slightly sour smell. Not sour as in tart...but sour as in past date and perhaps on its way to rotten. Oddly enough, once I caught this smell, it became apparent and noticeable in even untouched samples.

The smoke was very hashy in taste...but much more of a blonde light hash. The smoke is very smooth and offers little expansion in the lungs allowing for massive hits. The effects from this are not immediate, but after the first two hits, and offering the sample to another, my outstretched hand began to feel heavy...and I could feel the high begin to wash over me. Starting mostly in the center of my back and moving up into my neck and shoulders, putting just a slight amount of pressure on the base of my skull. The type of high produced is extremely relaxing and seems to invoke a much more laid back and go with the flow / take it in stride type of mentality. And do not be mistaken; there is no couch lock. It is perfectly possible to get things done while smoking this. The high even though very present and apparent, remains "clean" and consistent...gradually fading away as if having never been high at all after 1.5 hours. Not the best self motivational weed in the world, but you'll find being someone's right hand a pleasure and amusing.

I did notice a bit of tolerance build up after a bit of continued use. I'd say this is something you could put in the pipe and smoke one toke about every hour. This would definitely keep you in a medicated state...even smoking again after the effects have died off a bit was interesting. It was almost as if being recharged. With each smoke, you could feel the effects "settle" in the same way. There is however, very little ceiling to this smoke. You can literally get pretty tingly and numb in the tip-top center of your head. It never gets to be speedy or intense, but it can and will get you VERY "high".
