Sushi!

Anyone else love sushi as much as me? I regularly spend 50 bucks on a meal, like... every three days. I'll save up then splurge! haha.

Love the tobikko, toro. a nice(although def not traditional) spider roll. Some uni...

I actually made the mistake of having uni as my first sushi ever waaaaaaay back when i was.... 13 or 14, and it was summer to boot(out of season) so it was horrible! but i soldiered on, cause i'm of the philosophy of trying something thrice. Next time i had some EXTREMELY fatty toro(melted in my mouth! with a raw quail egg on top.... damn was it good!!

anyways, imma stop with the talking and eat some sushi...

oh, and if you get too stoned to use chopsticks(rare ocurrence with us growers, damn tolerance) use your hands! sushi was a street food, and the top restaurants still do not give you chopsticks(nor wasabi, soy sauce and maybe just a little ginger to cleanse the palate between types of sushi). And to impress the cute japanese waitress, ask for the fried shrimp heads!

We love sushi here but the price is really ridiculous ( if you want to get good sushi )so we usually wait until summer and we fish our own sushi and eat them right on board ( YFT, BFT, Yellowtail, butts ect.. )

A good sushi meal + some sake will cost ya 150 US or more while taking our boat out will cost slightly more but we can fill up the freezer with good quality fish that last the whole year

Cheers,

um... tuna and salmon are basically top of the food chain... I bet an average sized tuna could eat any fish you ever caught, hehe.

I love, love, love, love, love, Sushi!!! I eat it all the time, I take alot of women out to eat Sushi, and when I meet a girl who gives me the "I don't know hunny, I don't really like it" it's because they've never had good sushi. So I take them to a good restaurant, and when they order the "shrimp tempura" because their a wimp, I quietly go up to the waitress and make her order half shrimp tempura/ half spicy tuna. I watch them eat the dish everytime and ask the lady "so how was your meal" "OH IT WAS GREAT!!" and then I break the news on them.

Anyone can like Sushi, they just have to go to a place that serves it well. If you go to a "budget Sushi joint", then I can understand why it tasted weird. Tuna Rolls are not supposed to be $2.75. Or you've had good Sushi and you love it like me! This was a great thread, I am going to order me some Sushi today~

Thank you!

Cheers,
where ya at? you doing legal fishing(ie, checking if local quotas have bveen filled?)

I know a single non-commercial fishing boat isn't much difference, but atlantic BF and some other tuna stocks are dwindling... i'm a supporter of the moratorium on atlantic tuna fishing

right now i only eat sushi at restaurants i nkow get their tuna from the pacific. but NOT from japan... japan is a notorious overfisher that thinks it's immune to international conventions on maintaining stocks...

I'm all about sushi... Best food there is period... if you don't like it you haven't had good sushi or just don't like seafood. Most people are just too big of pussies to eat raw fish I find... oh well more for me!!

Some pan fried pork gyoza on the side with spicy white tuna and crab spider maki is the best lunch you will ever have. Not heavy at all yet sooooo filling...

2.75?????

WHERE?~?~~?~? it could be holdover until you get to go to a nice place, hahaha(just kidding, mushy fish, brown avocado, hardened cold rice and the gastrointestinal armageddon ar enot my idea of good eats)

oh and that looks gorgeous, what is it, spicy tuna with eh, either eel(cause of the sauce) or mackarel( i see some silvery skin) with tobiko? actually, i've enver seen eel paired with tobicco, so mackarel?
