SuperThrive VS Thrive Alive B-1 or B-2 in Hydro
Okay, so the last few months, I've experimented with just a few drops of SuperThrive in my nute solution in my buckets. My plants seem to like the stuff, and it seems to help my clones as well. I've heard of other growers only using it during veg, and cutting em off in bloom, which makes sense, cuz my girls don't need hormones in bloom. I wanted to do more research in exactly what SuperThrive was and where it was sourced, of which I could find much, and asking guys at the store didn't help. I was put on to the Thrive Alive brand, B-1 and B-2, where I think the B-1 is supposed to work better, but the B-2 is fully organic and OMRI certified, correct me if I'm wrong. So I got the Thrive Alive B-1 and started using it. I saw that it had the ingredients listed, small amount of NPKs, some trace minerals, and vitamin B1, sound good. But when I poured it out, it was surprisingly dark and thick, and seem to add a bit of an oily layer to the surface of my nute solution. I am worried this might clog up my 5 gal RDWC. The name says Thrive Alive, so is there anything alive in this stuff? Beneficial Bacteria or fungus? I didn't think so, but the consistency made me question it. Should I even be using any of this stuff at all in Hydro? Anyone got any info on these types of vitamin/hormone thrive products, specifically in hydro systems, flood & drain, or deep water culture?

I submit that SuperThrive is snake-oil.

Vit B aids in Cloning, and is helpful after Transplanting. I feed Moms a dose with their food, right before I take cuttings. Use to use SuperThrive.... Now, I like AN's B-52. Yes, I know, AN....lololol...
I do not use it anywhere near as often, or in concentrations that they recommend. But it is richer in more than one or two Vit. B's....

I myself have used all the above items.
Super Thrive is win in my book. Does exactly what the bottle says it will do, I'll also add I only use 1 ml per 3 gallons. I use the stuff from seedling to harvest with no problems at all. |

thrive-alive b1 is great for soaking rockwool cubes at 10ml/gal... way better than the 2-2-2 flora series soak

+1 on superthrive. its B vits and does contain a rooting hormone, but it does what its supposed to, and works as a PH down too. 1 drop a gal.. $7.99 gets you 2000 gallons worth.. thats money well spent if you ask me. been around 70 years.. that says something to me.
