Mother-in-law passed - Well Wishes - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

I had just PM'ed Rez Saturday mornin , encouraging him and his mother as they fight against cancer . 5 mins after sending that message I got a call from my father in law saying she was not lookin good . We packed up the kid and hauled ass down to tha hospital . (We had just seen her tha night before , and she didnt look good but had hopes that she would pull through . )
She had colon cancer , had 1 ovary removed and under went chemo , however she also had diabetes . Her body just couldnt hang in there any longer . She didnt want to be hooked up to machines , so her wishes were carried out . She passed on Sept 4 at 4:45 pm . Her husband , daughter(my wife ) myself and 2 good friends were present .

She had been hospitalized last saturday and we all thought it would be a overnight , routine deal . We went down to see her , joked with her hugged and kissed her . She got to see her grandson whom she loved more than life itself . Several days later she went into ICU . Tha following Saturday we went down to see her and were shocked ......

Mom meant so much to us and this was not expected . My father in law has also gone thu surgury , and chemo earlier this yr and tha whole family was expecting that he would pass first so we were more prepared for that . But this came as a total shock.

There were so many plans we had , her second grandson is due in November . We would go up to tha snow and make it a day , We went to Apple Hill last yr and had pie , hot chocolate , she LOVED to cook fer me , as I have a huge appetite . My son has had acoupla meltdowns already , missin his grandma , I remember her callin him " Hey , goose " ! Mom and my wife had just gone out acoupla weeks ago to shop for themselves and tha new baby . A new sprinkler system and lawn had just been installed , she never even got to see it . New couches , she got to use em fer about a fuckin month .

This has our whole family in tears , she meant so much to us and will be dearly missed ..........

hey steel savage , im sorry for your misfortune , i know how you must feel .. and i feel deeply for your family ..i hope all of you see the light through this .. and hope your smiles return soon .. a death in the family is very hard to overcome , there will be sadness , and alot of it ,,i can feel the sadness for ya . because i just found out that my father is got 6 months to live ,, so i myself can feel the same sorrow.. but we must all remember this god has a plan , and when he needs us we must go ... it is a blessing to be needed by god.. because after all he is the only one who can take us from this world..
i know it is hard to just accept that .. but as i will when my father who i love so much ,,passes .. i have to just accept it .. i will always remember him .. and you and your family will always remember your mother in law .... it is a great thing ,, having a memory ,, it's just , i wished i could step into my memories and still be with the ppl i lost .. but thair there.and aways will be ..
so im going to hope and pray for your family to recover asap ..

I am so sorry to hear of your Families loss,death is never easy to accept and you and yours are in my prayers tonite.Life is too fragile and too short,she sounds like a wonderful woman,were here for ya

My thoughts are with you and your family in these hard times steel. Glad to hear you have many wonderful memories of which to draw upon. Apple Hill holds good memories for me too, great place to spend a day with family. Wish I new the words to take your pain away. May your family find its peace soon.
