A Quote from Elsewhere on the Net-"A proven medical marvel for those in need of high levels of the most active ingredient, THC. Almost toxic at times, so handle with care: don't abuse the medicine-man. It has won many awards since its introduction as the white rhino in the late 90's. An incredible strong genetic heritage stemming from a Brazilan sativa/South Indian hybrid combined with a prodigious-yield Afghani. It is a member of the White Widow family and a proven champion for the and terminally ill patients. Those who prefer indoors can expect an incredibly resinous and compact Indica appearance from this plant. It has an expected flowering time of 56 to 60 days. Outdoor growers in the northern hemi-sphere can expect harvest around October and those in the southern hemi-sphere by May. The yield should be at least 600 grams a square metre."

Hi all

well MM is not a big stretcher, it tends to stay around a very acceptible size if grown indoors for a max of two weeks....but it all depends on how you grow.
In a perfect world you could grow it for a week then flower it for 7-8 weeks and cut a set of clones from the mum 5 weeks into your grow so they were ready the day you cut the crop...continuous growing system..but all that is the theory. Tell me how you are doing it and I will tell you if it will be fine. All the best Shantibaba

Shanti could you comment on phenotype variation within the medicine man (white rhino) variety? I believe that somewhere i read that many of your strains were tested to make sure that 80% of the chromosomes within individuals of a given random sample were identical to one another.....but now i cannot find this reference. Sorry if i am in error......-kind regards, gp

not sure from where that reference came from but what I think the reference was to do with is F1 seeds. We test all F1 to make sure between 70/80 % of them show similar phenotypes...that is when we consider the breed a stable breed to sell. The exceptions are in the sativa strains like SSH and Mango etc... where we use aroma/taste as a main trait to breed with. When the sativa strains show 70/80 % with similar taste and smells we consider that to be a stable breed ready for the market. This can take more than 2 years to do, so alot of time and selections go into a strain that is sold from MNS.

With specific reference to MM or White Rhino, you will see a predominant phenotype towards the Afghani traits expressing themselves.Since the widow father has south indian sativa/indica x brazilian sativa you will see to a lesser percentage traits that express and combine to the afghani but vary towards either side of the gentic pool it takes its makeup from.

Hope you can follow all that, otherwise ask me something specific about your plants in question and I will do my best to answer it.

All the best Shantibaba
